Centara Grand Island Resort & Spa Maldives has taken their endorsement to the environment to the next step by leading a clean-up expedition beyond their own shores.
The resort has always conducted with a strong policy on environmental protection and conservation. On Thursday, the resort’s team showed their dedication to protect the environment by visiting Mandhoo, a neighboring local island and cleaned various public spaces around the island. The event involved the clean-up of sites such as roads, mosques, schools and especially beaches.
The resort’s environment programs are praised with local community and have gained international distinction including EarthCheck and Green Fins. Moreover, the resort also has a Coral growing program. It is designed to help heal parts of the reef that have stopped growing, rejuvenate the marine eco system and promote the growth of new coral.
