American Airlines Debuts New Amenities Kits in Advance of Memorial Day Weekend!

American Airlines has recently debuted its new amenities kits in advance of Memorial Day weekend. This was done as a part of its premium cabin soft product refresh. This is also meant to accompany new business class suites that are delayed by Boeing 787 production problems.

Gary Leff from View from the Wing has recently done a review of the product refresh. Here is the takeaway from the review:

The Premium Economy Amenity Kit

According to the review, the Premium Economy kit might be the best for the value. The new bag by American Airlines has a nicer feel with some amazing essentials. The bag includes socks, lotion, ear plugs, a toothbrush as well as a toothpaste. This kit is perfect for anyone going on a long-haul trip. Not only can you take off your shoes and sit back in comfort but you have everything you need for the trip. If you have long layovers, the toothbrush and toothpaste will come in handy for sure!

The Business Class Amenity Kit

Gary Leff states that the business-class amenity kit comes in a stylish bag, however, the bag lacks structural integrity. The key difference between the amenity kits provided in business class and premium economy is the socks. For business class passengers, American Airlines provided slippers instead of socks. Another change that was highlighted was the pyjamas which used to be provided for long-haul flights. Now, instead of pyjamas, American Airlines provides eye shades instead.

The First Class Amenity Kit

The key difference between business class and first class content is that you get a single-use hand towel along with a face mist. This might be an amazing upgrade for those who really put in skin-care efforts. Another key difference highlighted is that on top of the business class contents, first-class passengers also get the socks.
