On February 21, Sun Siyam Olhuveli Maldives welcomed a group of students from the Qasim Ibrahim School of Business for an enriching exposure trip. This experience allowed the students to dive into the hospitality industry, providing them with practical knowledge that will be invaluable as they move forward in their careers.
Ahmed Shazeen, Director of Human Resources at Sun Siyam Olhuveli, expressed his excitement about the visit, saying
“We are delighted to welcome the future leaders of the hospitality industry to our resort. At Sun Siyam Olhuveli, we believe in fostering talent and providing students with practical exposure to bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world application. This experience will undoubtedly inspire and prepare them for successful careers in the field.”
During the visit, the students took a comprehensive tour of the resort, where they explored several key departments. They observed the operations in areas such as front office management, food and beverage services, housekeeping, and guest relations. Additionally, resort experts led interactive sessions, where they shared their insights on the latest trends, challenges, and best practices in the hospitality sector.
This visit highlights Sun Siyam Olhuveli’s commitment to developing young professionals and strengthening partnerships between academia and industry. As part of the Sun Siyam Cares initiative, which promotes education, community engagement, and career development, the resort consistently provides opportunities for growth and learning.
