Ahmed Naufal has been appointed as the Group Director of Business Development at Sun Siyam Resorts, following his exceptional achievements as the Group Director of Sales & Marketing. In his new role, Naufal will focus on driving strategic initiatives to foster business growth while expanding the company’s presence in both existing and emerging markets. With his deep expertise, Naufal will work across multiple teams to optimize operational processes and introduce innovative approaches that will enhance Sun Siyam Resorts’ brand across its properties in the Maldives and Sri Lanka.

Naufal began his career with Sun Siyam Resorts in 2021 as the Director of Sales & Marketing at Sun Siyam Olhuveli. His outstanding performance quickly led to his promotion as Cluster Director of Sales & Marketing in 2023, where he managed sales operations for several resorts. By 2024, he advanced to Group Director of Sales & Marketing, overseeing six luxury properties in both the Maldives and Sri Lanka. Naufal’s extensive background includes senior leadership roles at top-tier resorts such as One&Only Kanuhura, Baros Maldives, and Raffles Maldives Meradhoo.

Holding a degree in Business Tourism Management from Maldives National University, Naufal has also furthered his professional education with courses in Business Strategy and Revenue Management from Cornell University. This strong educational foundation, paired with his 18 years of experience, equips him to lead the brand through its next chapter of growth and success.
