Kandima Maldives contributes thousands of medical and protective equipments to Maldives to support combat the pandemic. The donation was handed over to National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) Thursday afternoon.
The donation included :
- 2 Ventilators
- 2,500 PCR Test Kits
- 850 PPE Overalls
- 4,000 KN95 Masks
- 20,000 Medical Face Masks
The items were handed over by Mohamed Khaleel, Managing Director, Kandima Maldives whilst received by the CEO of NDMA Hisaan Hassan on behalf of the government of Maldives. These were the latest contribution by a resort company to the government of Maldives. Initially Kandima Maldives has provided the resort property as a quarantine and isolation facility.
With the pandemic crisis in Maldives, it is important and everyone’s responsibility to help the front line staffs. I believe that Maldives needs to be fully prepared to fight the virus when we are planning to open the borders for the tourists,”
Mohamed Khaleel, Managing Director, Kandima Maldives, shared in local media.
Additionally to this, Mr.Khaleel mentioned that additional contributions have been put in place to help recover from the pandemic. In regards to this, furthermore equipments are set to be offered to the Dhaalu Atoll Hospital located at Dh.Kudahuvadhoo.
Located on the largest island in Dhaalu Atoll, 30-minute flight from Male’ and followed by a 20-minute boat ride to the island. The property has the longest outdoor swimming pool in the Maldives, an abundance of water-sports, the largest beach club and tennis and basketball courts.
