For the first time in the World, Raffles Maldives Meradhoo is offering guests the opportunity to discover the beauty of freediving with one of the best freedivers in the world, Bastien Soleil. Bastien will be in residency at the resort from 16th December 2020 to 15th January 2021.

Bastien Soleil is a professional freediving instructor (Apnea Total/AIDA/Padi). He’s also a professional underwater photographer. A s a successful designer, marketeer and communications expert, Bastien left the city life of his native France to travel extensively in Asia in search of a simpler life. So, along the way 5 years ago, Bastien found freediving. And this proved to be a transformative experience for him.

Now he uses his old skills to develop his new love; bringing people together, creating collaborations between likeminded spirits and trying to change our attitude towards the environment. Bastien became a professional freediver and underwater photographer with more than 1000 dives per year. He taught freediving to hundreds of peoples from all around the world from 12 to 70 years old.
