From 27th October 2024, these flights will provide affordable and convenient travel options for those eager to explore this stunning destination.

Furthermore, His Excellency Ali Salim Al Midfa, Chairman of Sharjah Airport Authority, praised this development. He remarked,

“The launch of the first direct flights from Sharjah to the Maldives is another milestone added to the previous destinations announced by Air Arabia this year. This reaffirms our deep commitment to expanding our international network and providing passengers with a unique travel experience and outstanding services.”

In addition, the launch of this new route underscores Air Arabia’s commitment to expanding its network. Adel Al Ali, Group Chief Executive Officer of Air Arabia, stated,

“We are delighted to add this enchanting holiday destination to our expanding network. The launch of our non-stop flights to the Maldives highlights our commitment to offering our customers more travel options and connecting them to some of the world’s most breathtaking locations.”

This new route aims to facilitate seamless travel for leisure seekers and enhance accessibility for those wishing to experience the beauty of the Maldives.

Moreover, Ibrahim Shareef Mohamed, CEO & MD of MACL, highlighted the significance of this partnership for Velana International Airport. He commented,

“The direct connection to Sharjah will significantly boost tourist arrivals from the Middle Eastern market and beyond. As we strengthen our position in the global aviation sector, the addition of Air Arabia to our growing network of airlines is a positive step for the Maldives and our tourism sector,”

Air Arabia operates a modern fleet of Airbus aircraft, ensuring a comfortable journey for passengers. The airline offers one of the most generous seat pitches in economy class, enhancing the travel experience. Additionally, travelers can enjoy ‘SkyTime,’ a free in-flight streaming service for entertainment. Passengers can also choose from various delicious options on the on-board ‘SkyCafe’ menu at affordable prices.
