Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) announced the new appointment of Mr. Gordon Andrew Stewart as the new CEO and Managing Director.

Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) announced the new appointment of Mr. Gordon Andrew Stewart as the new Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director. Gordon shall be joining his new position at MACL in July 2020 as soon as after the international border opens.

Gordon, a british national comes with over 30 years of international managment experience in Aviaition and Transportation industry. He has worked across europe, MENA, Asia and North America with 20 years at Executive and Board Level.

With his in-depth understanding of the business and recognized leadership will guide MACL to achieve greater success.

The establishment of Maldives Airports Company Limited came through various government departments which had been responsible in the operation of Velana International Airport. Responsible in taking care of the gateway to and from Maldives, MACL has committed to multiple investment and expansions plans within the past 05 years.
