The Clubhouse in Bandos Maldives, formerly known as ‘Paradise Club’ has been revamped and opened. As one of the pioneer resorts in Maldives, Bandos Maldives reopened the Clubhouse after major renovations.

The Clubhouse offers various facilities such as a gym, table tennis, steam/sauna room, a game room and ‘Kokko Club’. With their guests mostly being family oriented and the family sector being one of the resort’s key markets, the management saw fit that to renovate and upgrade the services available at the Clubhouse. The facility was converted into a stylish and modern building with two storeys.

The ground floor comprises of an open-spaced playground for kids, a luxurious lounge and an entertainment area equipped with a TV, board games, a foosball table and a ping pong table (table tennis).

The top floor includes a fully equipped gymnasium. The gym provides state of the art equipment and qualified staff and friendly instructors. Guests can also enjoy free aerobics sessions with professional instructors in a spin class which is also available on the upper level.

A Steam Bath and Sauna facility is located on the ground floor for guests who want to relax after a workout at the gym upstairs or after a game of badminton or squash in the flood-lit courts located inside the Clubhouse. Beach volleyball or tennis is also an available option.

Kokko Club is a kid’s club. It has also been improved to include a game room and nursery. Giving their parents some time to enjoy by themselves, Kokko Club offers babysitting services. It is staffed with childcare professionals and babysitters to ensure that the guests can enjoy your holiday comfortably knowing that your children are safe and in capable hands.

Sirru Fen Fushi Leads Ocean Conservation with Freediving Experience for World Oceans Day

Sirru Fen Fushi Celebrates World Oceans Day with Freediving

This June, a remote luxury hideaway in the Maldives is turning a global celebration into something far more personal and deeply impactful. Sirru Fen Fushi – Private Lagoon Resort, partners with Freedive Maldives to mark World Oceans Day with a unique underwater experience that blends adventure with purpose.

Freedive Maldives, which organized the record-breaking static apnea event in October 2022 that earned a Guinness World Record, brings its expertise to one of the most stunning environments in the country. The resort’s vast natural lagoon and expansive 9-kilometer house reef, one of the largest in the Maldives, provide the perfect setting for a meaningful dive beneath the surface.

Over several days, guests can join PADI-certified freediving sessions that range from introductory to advanced levels and earn their certifications along the way. In addition, the experience offers a rare chance to explore the reef’s vibrant marine life. Manta ray cleaning stations, nurse shark zones, coral gardens, and turtle nesting areas all thrive in these waters. Notably, the reef has already seen 11 turtle hatchings this year and hosts 93 resident turtles.

A Deeper Purpose Beneath the Surface

Lukasz Prendke, General Manager of Sirru Fen Fushi, emphasizes the deeper purpose behind the initiative.

“Our house reef, one of the longest and most vibrant in the Maldives, is a sanctuary for marine life and a symbol of our deep commitment to ocean conservation. We are honoured to collaborate with Freedive Maldives in celebrating World Oceans Day, not only to offer our guests an unforgettable underwater journey, but also to empower local talents and inspire our community to protect what lies beneath the surface.”

Moreover, the resort actively supports sustainability through regular lagoon cleanups and marine conservation programs. Its collaboration with Freedive Maldives further strengthens this commitment and brings both visitors and locals into ongoing efforts to protect the ocean.

Setting the Stage for a Record-Breaking Future

Looking ahead, Freedive Maldives plans to host another large-scale freediving event in October 2025 in collaboration with the Baa Atoll Council, aligning the event with World Tourism Day and aiming for another record-breaking turnout. This event will further establish Baa Atoll as a leading destination for sustainable marine tourism. Sirru Fen Fushi’s World Oceans Day celebration not only fosters a deeper connection between people and the sea but also reinforces the importance of nature, responsibility, and conservation. Through this initiative, guests are not merely exploring the ocean—they are actively contributing to its preservation for future generations.
