Varu is a beautiful island. It takes 45 mins speed boat from Male airport. The boat is spacious and comfortable. We have stayed in the water villa and it’s soooo beautiful with sunset view. But need to take note that the water is a bit deep, almost 2M, thus may not be good for those who don’t know swimming. The foods are good, especially in NU. The Varu plan is very good for those who love wine, they have variety of wine choices. Last but not the least, I must thank you Ashraf from guest service.. He responded our request and questions promptly and tried his very best to resolve the issue that we have encountered during the stay. Spent 4 nights at Cora Cora with my wife. We had a premium all inclusive over water villa. Everything was on point from pickup at airport when we arrived until drop off. The facilities and rooms are super clean. All restaurants are amazing and the food is top quality. I want to give a shot out to Bilal, Munthasir & Wifag for their excellent service. We stayed at Lily Beach Resort & Spa during February 2012. A resort is located 25 min by sea plane from International airport. Sea plane was really wonderful experience and we had some amazing views of the islands from the sky. Resort is excellent and all the stuff from Lily resort were really friendly and helpful. We stayed in a beach villa and it was great stay, just right on a beach below a palm in the shade. Interesting was open air bathroom and jacuzzi located out side of villa but hidden from other guests and gives privacy. Nature and coral reef around the island was great for sight seeing and snorkeling. Resort provides all inclusive platinum package and there is no need to spend more like in the other resorts. This was our fifth trip to the Maldives, and the second one to the Emerald resort. We don’t often revisit places, but, once you’ve been to the Emerald it becomes difficult, if not impossible, to find something better. As soon as you leave baggage claim, at Male airport, and are greeted by Emerald staff, everything possible and more is done to give you an unforgettable holiday! We got a warm welcome with a glass of champagne upon landing at the resort. Our water villa with pool was ultra clean and the views breathtaking All rooms have a huge well equipped bathroom with separate toilet. Water villas, preferably with pool, are the way to go, unless you have small kids, in which case the beach villas are probably the better option. The villas are spacious and cleaned in detail twice a day. Food at all restaurants is excellent, and service immaculate, says an Agoda guest from Belgium.
