CROSSROADS Maldives Achieves Green Globe Certification for Two Consecutive Years!

CROSSROADS Maldives announces the achievement of Green Globe certification for the second consecutive year. The multi-island integrated leisure destination recently had a sustainability audit, including the lifestyle hub – The Marina@CROSSROADS and two world-class resorts, Hard Rock Hotel Maldives and SAii Lagoon Maldives, Curio Collection by Hilton.

CROSSROADS Maldives has adopted environmental best practices in accordance with Green Globe  standards. These environmental standards are accepted worldwide as the highest benchmark in the tourism and hospitality industry. With the MoU signed in December 2023, the destination has been complying with its sustainability goals towards its beacon, “Building Big, Protecting Small”.

Sustainability Measures by CROSSROADS Maldives

The talented in-house marine biologists and their very own sustainability experts work closely with the Maldives government and NGOs. The resorts at CROSSROADS embed sustainable practices from daily life to yearly plans in the operations as well. Additionally, the property also features a Maldives Discovery Centre and a Marine Discovery Centre. These outlets work towards sharing in-depth knowledge about the environment and culture of the Maldives with visitors. The interactive facilities have been popular as they showcase the new experiences to the tourists.

As part of Green Globe Members, the three world-class resorts within the destination, are committed to enhancing the alternatives and tactics for environmental sustainability. Hard Rock Hotel Maldives recently also introduced a wet bag. The wet bags are made out of fabrics from damaged umbrellas with sustainability in mind. Guests can easily store their wet closed and carry them around the island with the wet bags. SAii Lagoon Maldives is also investing substantially in sustainable solutions. This includes an Organic Garden, a hands-on experience for its guests and currently working on its very first Turtle rehabilitation center.

Guests who are seeking a sustainable getaway at CROSSROADS Maldives can easily access the destination. Located just 15 minutes away from the city, CROSSROADS offers day trips as well as amazing vacations. Additionally, the location is also perfect for layover travellers. Travellers looking to explore CROSSROADS also have the chance to do that with free transfers! Book directly and go on an adventure of a lifetime.
