CROSSROADS Maldives Simplifies Payments for Russian Guests with HotelPay

HotelPay Debuts at CROSSROADS Maldives for Russian Guests

CROSSROADS Maldives, the leading integrated multi-island leisure destination, has introduced HotelPay, a state-of-the-art payment gateway designed to enhance the travel experience for visitors from Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). Guests can now easily book stays and make payments in Russian Rubles, either online or on-property, at three of the resort’s premier properties: SO/ Maldives, Hard Rock Hotel Maldives, and SAii Lagoon Maldives, Curio Collection by Hilton.

Simplifying Payments and Enhancing Convenience

Frederic Lebegue, General Manager of Hard Rock Hotel Maldives, and Alexander Traeger, General Manager of SAii Lagoon Maldives, Curio Collection by Hilton, and CROSSROADS Marina, stated:

“The introduction of HotelPay is another step towards strengthening our commitment to making every aspect of our guests’ journey as effortless as possible. By addressing key payment barriers, we provide guests from Russia and the CIS with a streamlined experience, allowing them to fully enjoy their time here in the Maldives”

The demand for cashless and localized payment solutions continues to grow. HotelPay effectively addresses this need by overcoming challenges like local card limitations and cash handling. As a result, the gateway offers a secure, seamless, and easy payment process, allowing guests to focus on enjoying their stay instead of worrying about transactions.

Olivier Moies-Delval, General Manager of SO/ Maldives, added:

“This new addition to our payment infrastructure aligns perfectly with our focus on superior guest satisfaction. By simplifying the payment process, we ensure that our guests fully immerse themselves in the luxurious and dynamic environment of SO/ Maldives without distractions.”

A Unique Resort Experience for Every Traveler

CROSSROADS Maldives offers a diverse range of experiences across its three resorts. Hard Rock Hotel Maldives, which was awarded the 2023 Hard Rock International Hotel of the Year, combines music-inspired luxury with lively entertainment. Similarly, SAii Lagoon Maldives, Curio Collection by Hilton, which ranked among Condé Nast Traveller’s Top 10 Resorts in the Maldives for 2023, blends a relaxed, boho-chic atmosphere with breathtaking tropical views. SO/ Maldives, named one of Condé Nast Traveller’s Top 10 Resorts in the Maldives for 2024, introduces a bold, fashion-forward experience for modern travelers.

Together with The Marina, a vibrant hub for dining, shopping, and entertainment, these resorts offer a dynamic destination for international visitors seeking both relaxation and adventure.

By integrating HotelPay, CROSSROADS Maldives continues to set the standard in hospitality, providing an inclusive and accessible payment experience. Furthermore, this new feature reaffirms the destination’s commitment to offering a seamless experience, making it easier for travelers from Russia and the CIS to immerse themselves in the Maldives.

Dubai New Bridge to Ease Traffic Around Mall of the Emirates

Dubai has opened a new 300-metre bridge connecting Sheikh Zayed Road to the Mall of the Emirates, marking a significant step in easing traffic congestion in one of the city’s busiest areas. For motorists coming from Abu Dhabi and Jebel Ali, the journey to the mall now takes just one minute, slashing the previous 10-minute drive. In addition, those heading from Umm Suqeim will experience a much quicker commute, as the drive has been cut nearly in half, dropping from 15 minutes to just 8 minutes.

According to Time Out Dubai, this bridge forms part of a larger Dh165 million project aimed at improving traffic flow around the Al Barsha area, home to the Mall of the Emirates. As a result, the new transport link will help ease congestion and offer faster access to one of Dubai’s most iconic malls, which attracts over 40 million visitors annually.

The opening of this bridge represents another key milestone in Dubai’s ongoing efforts to improve its infrastructure and ensure smoother travel for both residents and tourists. Moreover, the project includes upgrades to pedestrian and cycling lanes, enhancing safety and convenience for all.
