Maldives’ Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Aminath Shabeena said the two nations are in the process of creating a travel corridor. The National reported that the ambassador made the statement during a press conference on Monday at Arabian Travel Market.
According to The National, Shabeena said the two nations have started discussions to establish the travel corridor. Furthermore, she stated it will be completed within the next two weeks. This travel corridor will allow travellers who received the two doses of any World Health Organization-approved vaccines to travel between the Maldives and UAE without a PCR test.
UAE established a travel corridor with Greece, Serbia, Seychelles and Bahrain. Hence, travellers from UAE will not have to quarantine when they arrive in these countries.
