Las Vegas Sands has confirmed full construction approval for the Marina Bay Sands expansion project, a $1.05 billion programme that will add a fourth hotel tower, a 15,000-seat entertainment arena, and approximately 110,000 square feet of new meeting and event space to what is already one of Asia's most recognisable hotel complexes.
The fourth tower, which sits to the east of the current three-tower arrangement, is designed to read as architecturally consistent with the original Moshe Safdie design while introducing updated room standards. Planned room count is 1,000 keys, taking the total property to approximately 3,900 rooms. Premium room categories will occupy floors 40 and above, with views oriented primarily toward the sea and Gardens by the Bay.

For leisure travellers, the most operationally significant change is the expansion of the iconic SkyPark. The roof-level infinity pool — currently restricted to hotel guests — will be extended under the new plans, with a new infinity edge running the additional length of the fourth tower. Sands has confirmed that the current guest access policy will not change: the pool remains reserved for in-house guests only.
The expansion is expected to reach completion in phases between 2028 and 2030. Singapore's strong infrastructure pipeline and Sands' existing site relationships suggest the timeline is realistic.
