Saudi Summer Program 2024 – Exploring Saudi Arabia!

The Saudi Tourism Authority recently launched the country’s spectacular summer program for 2024. The ‘Saudi Summer is Next Door’ summer program will run for a period of four months. With this, travellers can explore over 550 exceptional tourism prodycs and more than 150 special offers and packages till the end of September. The Saudi Summer is Next Door program spans across seven different destinations.

Whether you’re a family or an adventure traveller, there’s something to look forward to for everyone in the Saudi Summer program. Some of the different segments include luxury retreats and activities as well as a little something for culture and heritage enthusiasts. The destinations for the summer program includes Aseer, Al Baha, Taif, the Red Sea – a new destination, Jeddah, Riyadh and AlUa. In addition to this, travellers can also explore some of the most vibrant events including Esports World Cup in Riyadh for the first time!

Saudi has also ensured easy and affordable access to the destination over the years. With this, citizens of 66 different countries can get eVisa with a 20% price reduction. In addition to this, there is also an increase in the number of weekly flights from Gulf cities to Saudi summer destinations.

This year’s summer program includes more than 550 tourism products and 150 special offers designed in collaboration with STA’s partners which include attractive offers from hotels, airlines offering free tickets for children in partnership with major travel, tourism and aviation companies and exceptional products in the Aseer Season and Jeddah Season like tax-free shopping offers and many new and exciting experiences such as private beaches for tourists and ladies’ beaches, says fahd Hamidaddin – CEO and Board Member of the Saudi Tourism Authority.

Celebrating the Arrival

Astrid Dirnegger, an Austrian national, arrived at Velana International Airport on December 26th with her husband and two children. Airport officials, including Minister of Tourism Ibrahim Faisal and representatives from the Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) and Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL), warmly welcomed the family. To celebrate the milestone, the Dirnegger family received a special six-day stay at the luxurious SAii Lagoon Maldives. The family will enjoy the resort’s beauty and world-class amenities during their stay.

A Strong Year for Tourism

The Maldives set a goal to welcome 2 million tourists in 2024, and the country has now surpassed this target. The achievement also highlights the country’s growing popularity among international travelers. According to the Ministry of Tourism, the Maldives has seen a nine percent increase in tourist arrivals compared to the previous year. This steady growth further solidifies the country’s position as a leading destination for luxury, relaxation, and adventure.

Tourism officials have worked hard to attract visitors from around the world, and the Maldives continues to draw travelers with its pristine beaches, crystal-clear waters, and exclusive resorts. The country also emphasizes sustainable tourism, which helps protect its natural beauty for future generations.

With ongoing infrastructure projects, such as the expansion of Velana International Airport, the Maldives is prepared to support this growth.
