Sheraton Maldives Full Moon Resort & Spa is inviting multigenerational family travellers to create shared experiences with the Side by Side Family Programme. This multigenerational programme offers immersive activities to bring families together to create shared experiences that foster moments of togetherness.

According to a press release by Sheraton Maldives Full Moon Resort & Spa, Side by Side is designed to provide unique and memorable ways to bring families together during their leisure travel; both on the property and in the community.

Side by Side also offers a wonderful range of activities that allow guests to indulge together in relaxing experiences, to explore the community by experiencing nature, and culture in new and engaging ways, and to celebrate big or small moments with loved ones.

For kids’ playtime, grandparents and parents learning new experience with the kids or spouse celebrating special occasions, the family programme provides the entire family activities to make memories together.

Intended for all members of the family, Side By Side not only offers a variety of immersive activities for guests to rejuvenate and restore, but it also enables them to create time to connect and make long-lasting memories with the family.

Join a coral fragment planting activity and help restore reef habitats

Learn about the resort’s Adopt a Coral program with a fun and interactive coral-fragment plantation activity. After planting coral fragments to a frame, an experienced marine biologist will place them in the water and monitor their growth.

The frame will be tagged with a unique serial no. and displayed on the dedicated website. Guests can follow its progress by receiving bi-annual updates.

Family picnic at Furanafushi Island

Guests can escape to their favourite spot on Furanafushi Island with a picnic basket in hand, in their room or on one of the lagoon islets. The culinary team led by Executive Chef Riccardo Pinna has designed a sumptuous collection of treats for the whole family.

Family spa day

One can set a journey on an invigorating spa extravaganza where even toddlers are welcome! The little guests get to make their very own facial masks at the eatable DIY station filled with yummy treats.

Family Cooking Class

Try a hand at cooking up a storm with this interactive family-friendly cooking class. Choose from Thai, Maldivian or Indian cuisines under the guidance of an experienced culinary team.

Known for blending authenticity with innovation, Chef Waled has played a key role in HIH’s Ramadan celebrations in the past. In fact, he worked at HIH from 2016 to 2019, gaining recognition for his Arabic cuisine during Ramadan. Chef Waled fosters a culture of excellence in his kitchen, inspiring his team to consistently deliver remarkable results.

This year, he returns exclusively for the season to ensure the authenticity and richness of HIH’s Arabic culinary offerings. Thanks to his vast experience and dedication, Chef Waled will guarantee an unforgettable Iftar experience, with every dish crafted to leave a lasting impression.

Chef Ibrahim Naeem

Executive Chef Ibrahim Naeem rejoined HIH in December 2024, adding his leadership and expertise to this year’s Iftar celebrations. Given Ibrahim’s strong connection with HIH, which spans several years, he previously served as Sous Chef and Kitchen Executive from 2016 to 2019. His deep understanding of the hotel’s dining standards ensures that guests will enjoy the same exceptional Iftar experience they have come to expect.

Chef Ibrahim has also held prominent roles such as Director of Operations at KHG Hotels and Country President of the World Association of Master Chefs. Additionally, he is a certified judge with the World Chef Organization. Ibrahim’s leadership, vast knowledge, and dedication to quality make him a key player in the success of HIH’s Iftar offerings, as he leads his team to provide extraordinary culinary experiences.

Chef Ismail Naseer

Executive Sous Chef Ismail Naseer, with over 15 years of experience, brings both creativity and passion to HIH’s kitchen. Having honed his skills at HIH, Chef Ismail has greatly contributed to the hotel’s reputation for culinary excellence. His achievements, including winning 1st place in the Food & Hospitality Asia Maldives Festive Meal Category in 2016 and in the Hotel Asia Maldives Hot Appetizer Category in 2013, showcase his talent and dedication.

Chef Ismail is known for pushing culinary boundaries while staying true to traditional dishes. Because of his innovative approach and attention to detail, guests will enjoy a memorable Iftar experience at HIH.
