Sheraton Maldives Full Moon Resort & Spa is once again preparing to host the third edition of the Full Moon Futsal Cup, a sports event designed to build camaraderie and encourage engagement among neighboring resorts in the Maldives. Moreover, the tournament brings resort associates together for friendly competition, further strengthening community ties.
Greg Allan, General Manager of Sheraton Maldives Full Moon Resort & Spa, highlights the purpose of the event,
“Our aim with the Full Moon Futsal Cup is to promote a sense of camaraderie and collaboration among the associates of neighboring resorts. Sporting events like these have the unique ability to unite individuals from diverse backgrounds, fostering relationships that go beyond the pitch.”
Sheraton Maldives continues to demonstrate its commitment to community engagement through this event. With 10 teams participating this year, the tournament promises an exciting and dynamic atmosphere where teamwork and collaboration will shine.
The tournament officially kicks off on March 5, 2025, and will feature two weeks of intense futsal matches. Furthermore, both players and spectators can expect thrilling displays of skill and sportsmanship. Eventually, on March 19, the top two teams will compete for the Full Moon Futsal Cup trophy in the highly anticipated final.
In addition to the excitement, this event also embodies Marriott International’s TakeCare culture, which prioritizes employee well-being. Allan emphasized that when companies prioritize their associates, those associates deliver exceptional service to guests, ultimately leading to lasting guest satisfaction.
Sheraton Maldives Full Moon Resort & Spa extends its gratitude to the teams, sponsors, and volunteers who made this event possible. Therefore, the resort invites everyone to join in celebrating the spirit of sportsmanship and teamwork at the Full Moon Futsal Cup 2025.
