Sun Siyam Iru Veli Set to Celebrate International Yoga Day with Renowned Yogi, Yujin

Sun Siyam Iru Veli announces a special celebration for International Yoga Day featuring the esteemed yogi, Yujin, from Korea. From June 21st to June 23rd, Yujin will offer exclusive yoga classes at Sun Siyam Iru Veli. During this time period, guests can enjoy sunrise and sunset sessions as well. This is the perfect opportunity to embrace the tranquillity of the Maldivian surroundings while deepening your yoga practices.

Yujin’s Yoga Journey

Yujin’s profound connection to yoga began in her 20s following a life-altering motorbike accident. Yoga became her anchor during recovery, leading her to explore various styles such as Yin, Vinyasa, and Hatha. Her passion for Ashtanga yoga was ignited in Athens, Greece, propelling her to delve deeper into her practice under influential teachers in Beograd, Mexico, the USA, and her home country, South Korea.

Later in 2021, she realised her dream by opening her own yoga studio. Settling up on the serene shores of Jeju island, her commitment extended further in 2023. Her yoga journey led her to the esteemed Sharath Yoga Centre in Mysore, India, in December 2023. Here she further immersed herself in the essence of yoga.

Guests are invited to join her on the mat to explore their own inner strength and serenity. This could be the opportunity to experience firsthand the deep impact of yoga on their lives. As the founder of Nyasa Yoga Shala and fluent in English with great teaching skills, Yujin offers a variety of yoga styles. This includes Hatha Yoga, Ashtanga Yoga, Hatha Flow Yoga, Yin Yoga, Meditation, and Singing Bowl sessions.

We are honored to welcme Yujin to Sun Siyam Iru Veli for our International Yoga Day celebration. Her dedication to yoga and profound teaching skills align perfectly with our commitment to providing guests with transformative experiences in our idyllic tropical paradise, says Masdhooq Saeed, General Manager of Sun Siyam Iru Veli.

International Yoga Day, observed worldwide on June 21st, is a testament to the transformative power of yoga in promoting holistic well-being. Against the backdrop of Sun Siyam Iru Veli’s serene shores, guests will have the opportunity to embark on a journey of self-discovery and inner peace through the practice of yoga. Sun Siyam Iru Veli is constantly committed to making the guest experience better. In addition to the yoga experiences, the resort also recently introduced floating delights & private lagoon breakfast experiences!

Discover the Magic of Floating Yoga at Holiday Inn Resort Kandooma Maldives

Holiday Inn Kandooma Resort

Holiday Inn Resort Kandooma Maldives has launched a refreshing new wellness activity that combines yoga with the serene beauty of the ocean. Float & Flow Yoga invites guests to enjoy a one-of-a-kind yoga session on the water, offering a perfect blend of movement, balance, and mindfulness while floating on a stand-up paddleboard (SUP).

A Unique Yoga Experience on the Water

This unique yoga experience suits everyone, whether you’re new to yoga or an experienced practitioner. Held at the resort’s specially designed SUP Yoga Dock, the 60-minute sessions take place on a platform shaped like a flower, with each “petal” holding a SUP board. The instructor guides participants through a series of gentle yoga poses, emphasizing balance, breathing, and fluid movement—all while surrounding them with the calming sounds of the sea.

According to Courtney Chambers, the resort’s resident Yoga Instructor:

“There’s nothing quite like the laughter and pure joy of SUP yoga. Whether you’re new to yoga or
a seasoned practitioner, being out on the water reminds us all to let go, have fun, and flow with
nature.”

Class Schedule and Additional Features

The Float & Flow Yoga classes take place four days a week, on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays—at 10:00 AM. To maintain an intimate and supportive environment, the resort limits each session to only eight participants. Moreover, the class requires a minimum of three guests to run and costs $45 per person, including taxes and service charges.

For those looking to capture the beauty of the moment, guests can opt for a professional drone photo and video package, available for an additional $25 per person. These stunning aerial shots offer unforgettable mementos of the experience.

Guests should wear comfortable yoga or swim attire and arrive 10 minutes early at the Perfect Wave Surf Shop for a brief pre-session orientation.

In conclusion, whether you’re looking to unwind, improve your yoga practice, or just have some fun, Float & Flow Yoga at Holiday Inn Resort Kandooma Maldives offers an extraordinary way to connect with nature and your inner self.
