Amilla Maldives Resort and Residences Offers Private Paradise Island for Hire

Aerial view of maldives resort Amilla Maldives
Amilla Maldives Resort can now be hired in its entirety as your private exotic playground.

Amilla Maldives Resort and Residences is available for sole use by couples or ‘Quaranteamers’. For the first time ever, the luxury Baa Atoll resort is being made available for sole use by an individual or couple and any companions they may wish to bring. Amilla Maldives is the purest definition of a tropical island paradise. And it can now be hired in its entirety as your private exotic playground.

Guests will be able to roam all 12 hectares of the exotic island and enjoy its facilities, from the contemporary minimalist Amilla Villas and Residences to the stunning pools and beaches. World-class cuisine can be delivered right to your door, from ‘floating breakfasts’ in the private pool to Wellness Your Way salads picked fresh from the Mystique Garden.

Amilla Maldives is the perfect retreat for anyone wishing to escape to a secluded spot with social distancing and reassuring hygiene measures for their protection during the pandemic. Amilla has implemented rigorous COVID-19 prevention protocols and due to this, its remote location, and restrictions on public access, there have been no coronavirus cases on the island.

The resort is available for exclusive use on a private one-week booking for up to 100 people. The price will be available upon request and will include all kinds of incentives including full board meals, butler service, water-sports, a manta snorkeling excursion, sunset cruise, an afternoon on a sandbank, daily Pilates classes/personal trainer, cocktail masterclasses and much more.

Amilla is located in Baa Atoll UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve. The area is internationally-recognized for its incredible biodiversity, including reef mantas and whale sharks. Manta and whale shark season is just beginning in Baa and marine biologists predict the atoll could be in for a bumper season of sightings due to the reduced amount of human activity in the area during the pandemic.

Global Wellness Day 2025: Maldives Reconnects with Nature, Self, and Community

Global Wellness Day 2025: Maldives Reconnects with Nature, Self, and Community

On June 14, 2025, millions around the world will celebrate Global Wellness Day, and the Maldives will join them in this powerful movement that nurtures healthier, more mindful lives. Already in its 14th year, Global Wellness Day continues to inspire people across seven continents to pause and reconnect with what truly matters—nature, themselves, loved ones, longevity, and their communities.

#ReconnectMagenta: Embracing Essential Connections

This year’s theme, #ReconnectMagenta, invites everyone in the Maldives to embrace these five essential connections. The initiative particularly resonates with the island nation, where close ties to the ocean, vibrant communities, and the natural environment shape daily life. Families spend time outdoors, and individuals seek moments of calm as the day encourages authentic experiences that reflect the peaceful, mindful spirit of the islands.

Organizers design the celebration in the Maldives to be accessible to all. Whether people meditate quietly at home, join group yoga sessions on the beach, or participate in community clean-ups, Global Wellness Day emphasizes that wellness belongs to everyone, everywhere. Moreover, local leaders and wellness experts enrich the experience, making the day a truly shared journey toward better health and deeper connection.

Resorts Elevate Wellness with Unique Experiences

Several resorts play key roles in making Global Wellness Day special this year. JW Marriott Maldives Resort & Spa hosts a three-day retreat featuring sound therapy, breathwork, yoga, and meditation led by holistic healer Dr. Lisa Schuster. Angsana Velavaru offers a wellness residency with yoga, breathwork, and transformative meditations guided by wellness coach Shubhangi Chauhan. Meanwhile, The Nautilus Maldives invites guests to explore wellness through beach yoga, sound healing, and massage workshops as part of its June Wellness Awakening. These experiences showcase how the Maldives combines luxury with authentic, holistic wellness.

Ultimately, Global Wellness Day in the Maldives means more than a single day of activities, it reminds people to slow down, reconnect with life’s simple pleasures, and prioritize well-being in ways that honor the island’s unique environment and close-knit communities. Whether people enjoy the sand, the water, or moments within the heart of the home, this day encourages everyone to step back, breathe deeply, and embrace wellness as a shared journey for all.
