First 3 Sessions of “Rediscover Maldives Webinar Series” Concludes

Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) has concluded the first 3 sessions of the Rediscover Maldives Webinar Series. The webinar series consists of 4 sessions, for selected markets. It is hosted by MMPRC together with the Ministry of Tourism and the Ministry of Health, PR representatives from respective markets, and industry partners. The webinar is hosted in the format of informative discussions and video clips.

The first session was successfully conducted for the Middle East, European, Asian, and American markets. Followed by, the second webinar concluded on the 8th September for the markets of the UK, Germany, Italy, France, and USA. The third of this series of webinars took place today (10th September 2020), with over 300 participants, and focused on the markets of Southeast Asia, India, China, Korea, Japan, and Australia.

According to MMPRC, during these sessions, the impacts of COVID-19 are discussed and emphasis is given on the recovery strategies in the tourism industry. Furthermore, the new norms in traveling are also highlighted in order to give participants a better understanding and rebuild their confidence in the destination as a “safe haven” for tourists. Maldives is considered one of the safest countries to visit due to the stringent measures taken in tourist establishments and the safety provided by its unique geography.

MMPRC also initiated the campaign “A Dozen Must-do Experiences in the Maldives” during the first session of the webinar series. Notably, some of these experiences are only attainable in Maldives. These include experiences such as flying above the islands, staying at your own private over-water villa and exquisite underwater dining experiences and many more.

the Rediscover Maldives Webinar Series is a part of the “Rediscover Maldives…the Sunny Side of Life” campaign. Industry partners took the initiative to transport participants virtually to the Maldives as they presented the unique experiences available at their properties for tourists.

Prior to this role, Nisham served as the Financial Controller at Oaga Art Resort, where he played a key role in enhancing the resort’s financial structure. Additionally, his previous positions at Amilla Maldives and Anantara Kihavah Villas further highlight his skill in managing finances at high-profile luxury properties.
