What is Brazillian Jiu-Jitsu?
Jiu-Jitsu is a martial art, combat sport, and a self-defence system. The martial art focuses on grappling and especially ground fighting. BJJ originated in Japan and ‘Gracie Family’ from Brazil later developed it. BJJ supports the concept that a smaller, weaker person can successfully defend against a bigger, stronger assailant. This is done by using leverage and proper technique; taking the fight to the ground.
