Hospitality Tomorrow is a virtual conference for owners, investors, financiers, operators and advisory services in the hospitality industry. The event took place on 07th April 2020 with a number of hospitality industry professionals and over 50 speakers from around the world.

The digital conference united the hospitality sector to discuss the impact of COVID-19 on the economy and what the industry can do to rebuild it. 5000 individuals from the industry joined the conference. The focus of the virtual conference was to identify the operational, financial and psychological changes in the world and people. How signs of recovery can be anticipated, and the role of Travel and Tourism in accelerating momentum for recovery.

Devastating is the word most governments are using to describe the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on society and the economy. The sector that stands to suffer the most is travel and hospitality. Today, nothing is certain, except that our world will never be the same again. We need business leaders to come together to discuss the best strategies to cope with the immediate crisis and to plan how to capitalise on the recovery when it comes.”

Jonathan worsley, Chairman and Founder of Bench Events

Some of the topics covered at the conference includes. How to survive the greatest adversity of our time. The economics of corona virus. The nine essential leadership behaviors needed in a crisis. Ways capitalize on the upturn when it comes, the outlook to recovery, and the new post-COVID reality.

The event featured popular conference activities which were replicated online. One on one video calls with delegates, an online exhibition. Breakout sessions featuring top executives talking about the prospects for adventure travel, tips for crisis management, the post-corona age and the industry’s role in community resilience as well as how to capitalize during the downtime.

The Westin Maldives Miriandhoo Resort has announced a special collaboration with Wellness Practitioner Dr. Shagnika Pradhan. From 19 November to 9 December 2024, Dr. Shagnika will bring her extensive expertise in naturopathy and yogic sciences to Miriandhoo Island. With more than seven years of experience, she combines ancient holistic practices with modern therapies. Her approach aligns perfectly with The Westin’s well-being pillars, which aim to help guests feel, sleep, move, eat, and play well.

Dr. Shagnika’s tailored programs allow guests to restore balance and improve relaxation. Specifically, the therapy uses acupuncture, reflexology, herb-infused oil massages, Yoga Nidra, and sound healing to activate the parasympathetic nervous system. These techniques encourage deep rest and relaxation. In addition, when combined with The Westin’s Heavenly® Bed and the soothing Sleep Well Lavender Balm, guests will experience complete rejuvenation.

Moreover, in addition to sleep therapy, Dr. Shagnika’s Yoga for Well-being program provides guests with physical strength and mindfulness. It includes Hatha yoga postures, pranayama breathing, and guided meditation. Likewise, other therapies, such as Naturopathic Manipulative Therapy, Reiki Sound Healing, Aqua Yoga Breath Therapy, and personalized consultations, offer a holistic approach to well-being. As a result, these wellness options create a comprehensive path to inner peace and rejuvenation.
