Vakkaru Maldives Hosts Exclusive Tennis Programs with Erika Zanchetta

Vakkaru Maldives collaborates with Lux Tennis, a Tennis Management Company providing tennis coaches to luxury resorts all over the world. A guest tennis pro, Erika Zanchetta will be offering coaching lessons from 20th December 2019 to 20th January 2020 at Vakkaru Maldives. 

A variety of exciting programs with  Erika Zanchetta will be held at the resort for all the guests enthusiastic about tennis. 

Tennis enthusiastic guests can enjoy a 30-minute or 60-minute private lesson with the coach as well as challenge the coach through ‘Beat The Pro’ session to win a free coaching lesson. Furthermore, group lessons, tournaments as well as social tennis events will take place at Vakkaru Maldives during the time period. A Kids Tennis Clinic offering an introduction to the sport with fun games for children below the age of 12 will also be available every Wednesday at 10:00 am. 

Erika Zanchetta started tennis at the age of six and achieved an international ranking of 52 in the world during her junior career. She was also ranked number one from her age group in Italy. With coaching experience at various tennis clubs, academies as well as luxury resorts, Erika Zanchetta is currently running a tennis school in Italy and is a part of the Italian national team of Padel. 

Vakkaru Maldives has been collaborating with various individuals to bring exciting and fun experiences for the guests to take part in. A 30-minute seaplane journey away from Velana International Airport, the lush green island features luxurious villas and suites, five restaurants, two bars, a wine cellar and an over water spa. Guests can enjoy the thrill of exciting water sports at the Splash Water Sports and dive center as well as engage in sports at the sports fields at Vakkaru Maldives.

Guinness World Record Holder Nathaniel Alapide Creates Stunning Sand Art Drawing at Sun Siyam Iru Fushi

Dubai-based and renowned sand artist Nathaniel Alapide astounded guests with his latest masterpiece created at the breathtaking Sun Siyam Iru Fushi. Alapide holds the Guinness World Record for creating the largest sand image. Additionally, he also earns recognition for crafting intricate and mesmerizing sand art creations. This time, Alapide has chosen the pristine shores of Sun Siyam Iru Fushi. His latest collaboration took place at the resort on the 12th of April in celebration of Eid Al Fitr.

Prior to his visit, Alapide has brought to life an awe-inspiring piece of art. The piece showcased his exceptional talent and creativity to various Sun Siyam Resorts. This was done in celebration of Easter as well, with the expansive beach of the resort serving as his canvas.

Alapide meticulously crafted his sand art, incorporating elements of local culture, marine life, and the serene ambiance of the island. Utilizing only his hands and simple tools, Alapide’s deft touch transformed the grains of sand into a breathtaking visual spectacle.

Working at Sun Siyam Iru Fushi has been an incredible experience. The natural beauty of The Maldives served as the perfect inspiration for my artwork. I am honoured to have had the opportunity to share my passion with guests from around the world, says Nathaniel Alapide.

Alapide’s creation at Sun Siyam Iru Fushi transcended the boundaries of traditional art forms. His artwork embodied the ephemeral beauty and harmony of nature.
