Atmosphere Core Announces Two Key Senior Appointments!

Atmosphere Core announces two strategic corporate appointments in the International Hospitality Company. The company welcomes Anupam Banerjee as the Vice President of Food & Beverages and Euan Blake as the Assistant Vice President of Communications. The leaders will be based in the Maldives and will be responsible for Atmosphere Core’s three brands, THE OZEN COLLECTION, COLOURS OF OBLU, and Atmosphere Hotels & Resorts.

Anupam Banerjee- Vice President of Food & Beverages

Anupam Banerjee has built a reputation for excellence and innovation over a global culinary journey. His expertise and journey span across China to the USA. With this new role, Anupam will drive brand distinctions and take forward Atmosphere Core’s reputation for creating award-winning culinary experiences. In addition to being a natural leader, Anupam believes in fostering a culture of creativity and resilience in the workplace.

With a successful career spanning over two decades, Anupam has held various leadership roles at prestigious international brands. Prior to this, Anupam has served as Director of F&B at The St. Regis Bangkok! In this position, he handles four outlets including a speciality restaurant awarded with one MICHELIN star.

Euan Blake- Assistant Vice President of Communications

Euan Blake is a seasoned hospitality professional who brings a holistic approach to his new role. His approach taps into a multifaced skill set spanning Public Relations, Sales and Marketing, and insights into hotel operations. In this new role. Euan will be handling the company’s Maldives portfolio of eight operational resorts within three brands. Additionally, he will also be positioning the latest property RAAYA BY ATMOSPHERE, set to open in July 2024. Euan will lead the company’s global communications strategy, amplifying brand stories, and building share of voice, while also overseeing the company’s extensive network of PR agencies across the globe.

Subsequently pursuing a passion for marketing communications, Euan spearheaded strategic initiatives around the world specialising in launches and repositioning of real estate assets. Prior to this, Euan served as the Cluster Marketing Manager Indian Ocean Region & Special Corporate Projects at JA Resorts & Hotels. Additionally, he has also held the role of Regional Director of Sales for COMO Hotels.

They bring to the table expertise and industry acumen that will further support our growth and help drive performance. 2024 proved to be a defining year for Atmosphere Core, as the company reached new heights in the hospitality industry. Amid geopolitical challenges, the brand not only launched its ninth resort, RAAYA by Atmosphere, but also solidified its position as a leader in the Indian Ocean region. Stéphane Laguette, the company’s Chief Commercial Officer, attributes much of the success to Atmosphere Core’s adaptable mindset. “Agility at Atmosphere Core is a mindset. It enables us to adapt swiftly, anticipate guest preferences, and drive innovation even in complex market conditions” says Laguette.

Celebrating Rapid Growth and Strategic Success

In 2024, a standout achievement was the quick turnaround of RAAYA by Atmosphere. Within just three months, the resort underwent rebranding, became operational, and made its market debut. This was made possible by the company’s boutique, flexible structure, which enabled fast decision-making and close collaboration across teams. As a result, the project unfolded quickly and seamlessly, providing a clear competitive advantage.

Moreover, the company achieved success across broader markets. Strong performances in European markets and expanded reach within Asia set the stage for a successful entry into Spain. These milestones highlight the effectiveness of Atmosphere Core’s commercial strategies, which emphasize flexibility and responsiveness. Consequently, these strategies have been pivotal in achieving remarkable results despite external challenges.

Sustainability has remained a key focus for Atmosphere Core. All of its resorts have received Green Globe Certification, with four properties achieving Gold Member distinction. Furthermore, to reduce its environmental impact, the company has installed more than 8,900 solar panels across its resorts. Coral conservation continues to be a significant priority, with 290 coral frames planted so far as part of ongoing restoration efforts. For instance, the thriving coral garden at OBLU SELECT Sangeli has been nurtured since 2019 by the company’s marine biologist. Looking ahead, the company plans additional sustainability initiatives for 2025, further reinforcing its commitment to environmental stewardship.

As the luxury travel market evolves, Atmosphere Core has adapted its approach to guest experiences. Increasingly, travelers are seeking personalized, bespoke journeys that go beyond traditional luxury. In response, Atmosphere Core introduced the Atmosphere Core Wine Program, partnering with renowned wineries like Bottega SpA to offer guests exclusive wine experiences, including sommelier-led masterclasses and private tastings. Resorts such as OZEN RESERVE BOLIFUSHI and OZEN LIFE MAADHOO have become destinations for these unique wine events, and the company has expanded these offerings globally through immersive wine dinners. As a result, Atmosphere Core continues to build stronger relationships with global travel markets.

Meanwhile, the Maldives has become a popular destination for family travel, and Atmosphere Core has tailored its resorts to meet this growing demand. Atmosphere Kanifushi has earned awards for its family-friendly facilities, while OZEN LIFE MAADHOO stands out for its innovative M6m underwater restaurant, offering one of the region’s most exceptional dining experiences. Looking to 2025: New Horizons

In 2025, Atmosphere Core plans to expand its presence in both the Indian and European markets. A major development for the year is the opening of Sadar Manzil Heritage by Atmosphere Bhopal, a luxury hotel set in a beautifully restored 19th-century audience hall. Exclusively designed for couples, the hotel will feature live music performances and an all-vegetarian menu that celebrates the region’s rich culinary traditions. Moreover, in Europe, the company will debut with the opening of Borgo Monchiero Heritage by Atmosphere in Piedmont, Italy. This meticulously restored 18th-century monastery will offer guests an authentic, immersive experience of northern Italy’s artistic and culinary heritage. Through its Heritage by Atmosphere sub-brand, the company will blend history with indulgence, offering guests a completely new experience.

Expansion in India will also continue, with the launch of OZEN MANSION KOLKATA, featuring 235 luxurious rooms, wellness facilities, and expansive event spaces. The company will also introduce STILLWOOD RETREAT A SIGNATURE ATMOSPHERE COORG and OZEN VILLAS JAIPUR, further solidifying its presence in India’s luxury hospitality market.
