Atmosphere Core Announces Two Key Senior Appointments!

Atmosphere Core announces two strategic corporate appointments in the International Hospitality Company. The company welcomes Anupam Banerjee as the Vice President of Food & Beverages and Euan Blake as the Assistant Vice President of Communications. The leaders will be based in the Maldives and will be responsible for Atmosphere Core’s three brands, THE OZEN COLLECTION, COLOURS OF OBLU, and Atmosphere Hotels & Resorts.

Anupam Banerjee- Vice President of Food & Beverages

Anupam Banerjee has built a reputation for excellence and innovation over a global culinary journey. His expertise and journey span across China to the USA. With this new role, Anupam will drive brand distinctions and take forward Atmosphere Core’s reputation for creating award-winning culinary experiences. In addition to being a natural leader, Anupam believes in fostering a culture of creativity and resilience in the workplace.

With a successful career spanning over two decades, Anupam has held various leadership roles at prestigious international brands. Prior to this, Anupam has served as Director of F&B at The St. Regis Bangkok! In this position, he handles four outlets including a speciality restaurant awarded with one MICHELIN star.

Euan Blake- Assistant Vice President of Communications

Euan Blake is a seasoned hospitality professional who brings a holistic approach to his new role. His approach taps into a multifaced skill set spanning Public Relations, Sales and Marketing, and insights into hotel operations. In this new role. Euan will be handling the company’s Maldives portfolio of eight operational resorts within three brands. Additionally, he will also be positioning the latest property RAAYA BY ATMOSPHERE, set to open in July 2024. Euan will lead the company’s global communications strategy, amplifying brand stories, and building share of voice, while also overseeing the company’s extensive network of PR agencies across the globe.

Subsequently pursuing a passion for marketing communications, Euan spearheaded strategic initiatives around the world specialising in launches and repositioning of real estate assets. Prior to this, Euan served as the Cluster Marketing Manager Indian Ocean Region & Special Corporate Projects at JA Resorts & Hotels. Additionally, he has also held the role of Regional Director of Sales for COMO Hotels.

Anupam and Euan join us at an exciting point as we are expanding our global footprint. They bring to the table expertise and industry acumen that will further support our growth and help drive performance. About 71% of travelers choose to stay in resorts, thereby highlighting the Maldives’ reputation for luxury and exclusive island experiences. However, guesthouses also grow in popularity, hosting nearly a quarter of all tourists, which indicates a diversification of accommodation options and a widening of appeal beyond traditional luxury stays.

Furthermore, diverse source markets feed this tourism boom. China leads with the highest number of visitors, followed closely by Russia and the United Kingdom. In addition, European markets such as Italy and Germany continue to contribute strongly, while arrivals from India and the United States also show steady presence. This broad geographic mix not only helps balance visitor flows but also reduces overreliance on any single market.

Looking ahead, the Maldivian government plans to reach 2.5 million arrivals by the end of the year. Meanwhile, ongoing infrastructure projects, including airport expansions, aim to improve accessibility and accommodate increasing visitor numbers.
