COMO Hotels and Resorts has appointed Peter Nilsson as Managing Director for the Maldives. He will oversee COMO Cocoa Island and COMO Maalifushi. With a wealth of experience, Nilsson aims to deliver top-tier guest experiences and ensure smooth operations across both resorts.

In his new role, Nilsson will focus on driving operational excellence and fostering team engagement. Additionally, he will ensure seamless guest experiences and promote strategic growth. Above all, his goal is to enhance both the guest experience and operational efficiency.

Nilsson is a Swedish hotelier with over 30 years of experience in luxury hospitality. He has worked with renowned brands such as Ritz-Carlton, Soneva, Six Senses, Conrad, and Anantara. Most recently, he served as CEO of Banwa Private Island in Palawan, Philippines. His deep knowledge of resort management makes him the ideal leader for COMO’s Maldives properties.

COMO Cocoa Island and COMO Maalifushi are located on two secluded islands in the Maldives. Both resorts offer immersive experiences, including COMO Shambhala’s award-winning wellness programs. For example, COMO Cocoa Island in South Malé Atoll features 33 overwater villas, blending luxury with a deep respect for nature. Meanwhile, COMO Maalifushi, the only resort in Thaa Atoll, provides 59 overwater and beach accommodations, offering activities such as diving, surfing, and fly fishing.
