Oaga Art Resort Expands Artistic Horizons with Moo Ge

Oaga Art Resort has unveiled Moo Ge, a groundbreaking space that redefines artistic expression. More than a gallery, Moo Ge is a transformative venue where creativity flourishes. It serves as a movement studio, performance stage, exhibition hub, and sanctuary for artists seeking inspiration. The resort created Moo Ge with a clear vision: to offer an ever-evolving home where creativity thrives.

The space’s design mirrors its purpose, adapting fluidly to the diverse needs of its artists. It fosters an environment of warmth and collaboration, welcoming artists to explore their craft. Here, the boundaries between creator and audience blur, uniting them in a shared artistic journey. In this way, Moo Ge becomes not just a place, but a community.

A Creative Beacon in the Suvaasthi Ecosystem

Moo Ge’s connection to the Suvaasthi ecosystem strengthens its impact. Suvaasthi is rooted in the pursuit of happiness and views art as a source of joy, growth, and fulfillment. Together, Suvaasthi and Moo Ge build a community that nurtures both artists and their audiences. This creative network extends far beyond the Maldives, shaping an interconnected artistic world.

The space officially opened its doors on 7 January 2025. Its debut exhibition, Watercolor Journals of Nazimbe, features over 100 paintings by renowned Maldivian artist Ahmed Nazim (Nazimbe). The collection reveals Nazimbe’s shift from oil to watercolor, capturing his maritime-themed storytelling. Originally shown at the National Art Gallery in January 2024, these works now find a new home at Moo Ge. They enrich the space with vivid portrayals of Maldivian culture and the ocean’s beauty. Visitors can experience this exhibition at Suvaasthi Gallery until 21 January 2025.

Dubai New Bridge to Ease Traffic Around Mall of the Emirates

Dubai has opened a new 300-metre bridge connecting Sheikh Zayed Road to the Mall of the Emirates, marking a significant step in easing traffic congestion in one of the city’s busiest areas. The bridge, unveiled on Sunday, provides direct access to the popular shopping destination, dramatically reducing travel times.

For motorists coming from Abu Dhabi and Jebel Ali, the journey to the mall now takes just one minute, slashing the previous 10-minute drive. In addition, those heading from Umm Suqeim will experience a much quicker commute, as the drive has been cut nearly in half, dropping from 15 minutes to just 8 minutes.

According to Time Out Dubai, this bridge forms part of a larger Dh165 million project aimed at improving traffic flow around the Al Barsha area, home to the Mall of the Emirates. As a result, the new transport link will help ease congestion and offer faster access to one of Dubai’s most iconic malls, which attracts over 40 million visitors annually.

The opening of this bridge represents another key milestone in Dubai’s ongoing efforts to improve its infrastructure and ensure smoother travel for both residents and tourists. Moreover, the project includes upgrades to pedestrian and cycling lanes, enhancing safety and convenience for all.
