JOALI BEING Hosts Exclusive Tennis Clinics with Tomas Berdych

Tennis Player Tomas Berdych Hosts Tennis Clinics at JOALI BEING

Tomas Berdych, the celebrated Czech tennis star who achieved a career-high ranking of No. 4 in 2015, recently took to the courts at JOALI BEING. He hosted a special series of tennis clinics on February 11th and 13th, 2025. Berdych invited guests of all ages—children, teens, and adults—to reignite their passion for tennis through an unforgettable experience.

In addition to that, JOALI BEING also hosted a tennis clinic for the local community. They welcomed students, parents, and teachers from R. Innamaadhoo School. Berdych shared his love for the game and coached young Maldivian players on both technique and the deeper values tennis offers—fitness, fun, and discipline. His infectious enthusiasm inspired everyone involved. He worked hard to ignite a lasting passion for tennis in the next generation.

Furthermore, one of the clinic’s most exciting features was the opportunity for guests to receive personalized, one-on-one coaching from Berdych himself. Whether seasoned players or beginners, everyone had a chance to improve their skills. With the guidance of one of the sport’s true legends, they could move closer to their tennis goals.

Reflecting on the power of tennis, Berdych shared,

“Being on the tennis court is always an encouragement – it offers endless opportunities to develop strategic skills, embrace challenges, and cultivate a positive mindset with every shot.”

Berdych’s career is filled with unforgettable moments. He made history by defeating both Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic to reach the 2010 Wimbledon final. He also led the Czech Republic to back-to-back Davis Cup titles in 2012 and 2013. Today, as a renowned tennis player, Berdych continues to shape the tennis world as the captain of the Czech Republic’s Davis Cup team.
