Maldives Marketing and PR Corporation (MMPRC) invites the world on a virtual journey to explore the beautiful islands in the comfort of your homes. ‘Maldives, the sun will shine again’ is a live Facebook event taking place on 08th June 2020 at 23:00 hours (GMT +5).

The event aims to bring home and convey to the world that the Maldives is recovering and the tourism industry is preparing to welcome travellers to the sunny side of life. The event is hosted by MMPRC in association with the Ministry of Tourism, Mondhu Productions, Orca Media Group, and Public Service Media (PSM). ‘Maldives, the sun will shine again’ will showcase plenty of surprises and numerous chances to win free holidays to the Maldives.

During the event, you will be taken on a virtual journey to some of the most stunning parts of Maldives and how the preparations are being done to resume tourism. The three-hour long event will feature celebrities, key opinion leaders, influencers, artists, musicians, and other well-wishers coming together to show some love and hope that ‘the sun will shine again.’

MMPRC has been constantly working to keep the country on the travel radar with hopes of reopening its shores to guests again. The tourism industry has been the backbone of the Maldivian economy. MMPRC has been working on adapting the market efforts around the unprecedented situation while shifting the marketing activities to digital platforms.
