Luxury leisure destination, Crossroads Maldives’ resorts have won multiple awards the 14th Annual World Luxury Hotel Awards.

Crossroads Maldives’ renowned resorts, Hard Rock Hotel Maldives and SAii Lagoon Maldives have won multiple awards at the 14th Annual World Luxury Hotel Awards.

Hard Rock Hotel Maldives and SAii Lagoon Maldives at Crossroads Maldives took the top awards in the ‘Luxury Brand’ category. And Hard Rock Hotel Maldives took the award in the global category. Meanwhile, SAii Lagoon Maldives won the award in the continental category.

The acclaimed restaurants and spas lead the way in spa and restaurant category. Rock Spa at Hard Rock Hotel Maldives won the award in ‘Luxury Spa Retreat’ in the continental category. Furthermore, Lèn Be Well at The Marina received the award in the regional category.

Additionally, in the restaurant category, The Elephant & Butterfly at Hard Rock Hotel Maldives added another award to its list. The restaurant won the ‘Luxury Resort Restaurant’ award in the continental category. Moreover, the Miss Olive Oyl took the continental award for ‘Mediterranean Cuisine’.

Crossroads Maldives opened in late 2019 and features two lifestyle hotels; Hard Rock Hotel Maldives and SAii Lagoon Maldives – Curio Collection by Hilton. Learning the Ancient Art of Joali Weaving

One of the standout moments takes place on Saturday, June 7, when guests join a Joali weaving workshop. This craft involves weaving coconut rope into practical items and has been quietly passed down through island families for generations. Since resorts rarely showcase this tradition, this becomes a rare chance for guests to experience a living cultural art.

Mohamed Irshad, the Front Office Manager of Mercue Maldives Kooddoo, shares why it matters:

Eid Buffet and the Colorful Maali Parade

The celebration starts on the evening of June 6 with an Eid buffet featuring refined takes on local festive dishes. Here, the resort prepares everything using fresh ingredients sourced nearby, celebrating the Maldives’ rich culinary heritage.

Then, the following night, the resort comes alive with the Maali Parade, a lively procession inspired by traditional Maldivian folklore. Masked performers bring ancient stories to life right on the island.
