Etihad Airways: the Most Punctual Airline in Middle East

EtihadAirways_09Jan20

Etihad Airways has been named the most punctual airline in the Middle East as well as one of the most punctual airlines in the world by the Global Aviation Group OAG.

The national airline of the United Arab Emirates is the only Middle Eastern carrier listed by OAG in the Top 20 with Etihad Airways as 17th amongst full-service and low-cost operators. Etihad also came 13th on OAG’s list of Top 20 Mainline Airlines which included only major scheduled airlines operating over 30,000 flights annually.

Etihad Airways’ high placement in the 2019 OAG rankings demonstrates the airline’s commitment to delivering total quality, and on-time performance is a major part of this. Etihad, with the determination of its operations team as well as the investment in new technology will continuously strive to increase efficiency and service.”

The Chief Operating Officer of Etihad Airways Mohammad Al Bulooki said,

OAG defines on-time performance as a flight departing or arriving within 15 minutes of its scheduled time, which is a standard measure in the airline industry. A large range of variable factors which may affect the operations were taken into account while determining the on-time performance of the airlines.

The multi-award winning Etihad Airways came into existence in 2003 and has evolved rapidly over the short period of time. The airline now offers a network of over 100 passengers and cargo destinations across 6 continents for its guests.
