The Debut resort of Fari Islands, Ritz-Carlton appoints Deanne Garling as the Director of Human Resources. Deane Garling brings over 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry who has commenced her new appointment with The Ritz-Carlton Maldives on 16th March 2020.

From Australia, Deanne Garling holds Diploma in Human Resource Management and Business as a strong educational background. As a start of her career working through various hotels including Radisson on flagstaff Gardens, Melbourne and Stella Hospitality Group. With her past experience in Maldives working in Maldives at Gilli Lankanfushi for 09 years prior to her most recent Works as Director of Human Resources at Waldorf Astoria Ithaafushi, deans brings a strong wealth of Locals Maldives.

A humble personality and a person who enjoys multiple activities such as scuba diving, tennis, yoga, reading and travelling.

The Ritz-Carlton will be another international brand addition to the luxury resorts of the Maldives, joining Marriott’s other properties St Regis, W, Westin, Sheraton and JW Marriott. Shaped by the Maldivian sun and shored by the Indian Ocean, The Ritz-Carlton Maldives, Fari island features a selection of guest villas ranging in size from one to three bedrooms, all appointed with the ultimate in luxury that defines the Ritz-Carlton name worldwide. The 100-villa resort sets the standard for luxury, where each villa has panoramic views of the ocean and is fitted with private pools and covered sundecks.

Located in North Male Atoll, 50 minutes by speedboat or 10 minutes by seaplane from Male, The Ritz-Carlton Maldives Fari Islands will be part of the four-island Rah Falhu Huraa lagoon development. With Fari Island being on of the most awaited opening in Maldives this year.

In the recent press Fari Islands, Ritz Carlton also appointed Mafalda Costa Tavares as The Director of Sales & Marketing and Nabeel Abdulla as Director of Sales.

During her time at Accor, she managed learning and development for multiple properties, where she developed comprehensive training plans aligned with the resort’s goals. Furthermore, her dedication to corporate social responsibility initiatives and sustainable practices consistently elevated guest satisfaction and operational efficiency.

She excels in team development and training, using her experience in organizational behavior and people development. Atjana holds Human Resources and People Management certifications and a Bachelor’s degree in Tourism. She is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Education Development.
