Global Business Travel Association appoints Solombrino as the new CEO, by unanimous vote by the board of directors

The Global Business Travel Association, the voice of business travel industry, has appointed current Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer Scott A. Solombrino as Chief Executive Officer following a unanimous vote by the Association’s Board of Directors.

We are thrilled to equip our operating leader with the proper tools to guide the industry out of the COVID-19 worldwide pandemic. Now GBTA’s principle spokesperson will have an even stronger position to advocate for the return of business travel.

Under Mr. Solombrino’s dedicated leadership, GBTA has built upon its strengths by replenishing their financial reserves, refocusing advocacy efforts in the United States and Europe, and strengthening relationships with members and sponsors.

GBTA members can anticipate the Association will be better positioned to influence public policy and deliver positive outcomes for its buyers and sponsors.

ITB China has officially announced Maldives as the Official Partner Destination of ITB China 2024. This event will be hosted from 27th to 29th May in Shanghai. Additionally, the booths set up for the destination will also showcase and promote its vibrant tourism offerings. Moreover, MMPRC has also announced that the company will be hosting a conference during Day 1 of ITB China. This will provide an amazing opportunity for engagement with and from attending media.
