JOALI Maldives has promoted Ismail Nasheed to its new Resort Manager. In his new role, Ismail will be overseeing all the operations of the luxury resort.

Ismail started his career as a receptionist at Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, and grew within the company for 13 years. During the period, he held various managerial roles and undertook the responsibilities that came with each role.

After more than a decade with Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, he joined Anantara Hotels, Resorts and Spas in Doha, Qatar. During the year-long experience, he carried out the responsibilities of the Director of guest services and then Front Office Manager.

Ismail joined JOALI Maldives as a Front Office Manager in 2018 and made his way up the corporate ladder to the new role. Through his hard work and dedication, he received the promotion to Rooms Division Manager, and then Resort Manager. With over two decades of expertise and knowledge in the hospitality industry, Ismail is ideal for the role of the Resort Manager.

JOALI Maldives is located amidst the pristine waters of Raa Atoll. Located at a 40-minute flight from Velana International Airport, the luxury resort also provides private charter flights on their JOALI branded seaplane. The resort features stunning private beach and over-water villas and residences, each with a pool of its own. In addition to the four restaurants offering diverse cuisines, JOALI Maldives has a chocolate and ice-cream store as well as the option for dining in the comfort of one’s own room.

This innovative resource inspires and guides underwater explorers throughout various base locations in the Maldives at Sun Siyam Resorts. The website includes detailed dive site descriptions, eco-diving tips, and a gallery of breathtaking underwater photography. It reflects Sun Siyam Resorts’ commitment to showcasing the wonders of the Maldives while promoting ocean conservation.

The festivities began on the evening of 28th November, 2024, with Ocean Unveiled, a celebratory gala dinner under the stars, featuring marine-inspired storytelling. Guests enjoyed expertly crafted cocktails, exquisite cuisine, and a lively atmosphere as they gathered to commemorate the launch. Following this, the night concluded with A Night of Discovery, a marine-themed movie screening that left attendees inspired by the beauty and fragility of the underwater world.
