Orthodox Easter Celebrations will be celebrated at Amilla Maldives with lots of fun activities for the young and young at heart.

Amilla Maldives Resort and Residences is welcoming guests for Orthodox Easter Celebrations. This special family time will be celebrated at the luxury resort with lots of fun activities for the young and young at heart.

According to the resort, there will be four action-packed days with Easter Egg hunting and painting, pirate craft and more. Amilla Maldives’ new Executive Chef, Chef Doolam, has designed delectable treats for guests to try.

The resort will offer special tasting menus featuring caviar at Feeling Koi and Truffle at Barolo Grill Easter Sunday will see a lavish feast in Baa-zaar with traditional Easter delicacies such as Tefteli, Pirozkis as well as a seafood spread.

Meanwhile, the Pastry Chef, Miriam, is working on divine desserts including Kutya and honey cake(Not to mention the ubiquitous chocolate eggs!). Amilla Maldives is welcoming a host of performers over the time with a magician on hand to surprise and delight, an aerialist to amaze, a fire dancer and a belly dancer to inspire for the upcoming Eid ul Fitri.

The resort’s in-house band will croon during dinner then the Limestone band will rock you into the small hours with DJ Tappu following on. The little ones at Amilla Maldives Resort and Residences will be able to get crafty with kite designing workshops and a sustainability-themed fashion show for the Orthodox Easter Celebrations. It will focus on fashion for a brighter future and showcase the benefits of using recycled materials.

Inspired by the four elements, the children will fly kites made from recycled paper and plastic down the runway for the fashion show. Magic shows, pirate circus skills, stilt-walking and acrobatics will add even more excitement during the interludes.

On Easter Monday, the entire afternoon will be dedicated to water-based races, games and poolside dancing with prizes at ‘Grand Splashsational”. ‘Kids’ of all ages can compete in an underwater treasure hunt.

For the active, LUX tennis will hold tennis clinics culminating in a challenging day, the Recreation Team will hold a Football Camp, and we will have a glow rider evening tour of the island.

Maldives Takes Home Wins at World Travel Awards 2024!

Maldives is yet again taking home coveted awards at the World Travel Awards (Indian Coean Category), at the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2024. The award show which is being held at Dubai World Trade Center from 6th to 9th May recognises and rewards excellence in travel and tourism. It is no shock that the Maldives took home more than one award, as the destination has always been a tourist-hot spot.

The Maldives took home the following awards this year:

  • Indian Ocean’s Leading Destination 2024
  • Indian Ocean’s Leading Honeymoon Destination 2024
  • Indian Ocean’s Leading Green Destination 2024
  • Indian Ocean’s Leading Dive Destination 2024

The resorts that won these awards for the Maldives are also noteworthy. Conrad Maldives Rangali Island claimed the coveted title of ‘Indian Ocean’s Leading Hotel’. Vakkaru Maldives won ‘Indian Ocean’s Leading Resort’. Coco Bodu Hithi, Maldives was named ‘Indian Ocean’s Most Romantic Resort’. Cora Cora Maldives also enjoyed a strong showing, winning ‘Indian Ocean’s Leading All-Inclusive Resort’.

The Maldives also won some of these categories at the 2023 World Travel Awards. Last year the Maldives won the Indian Ocean’s Leading Destination 2023 title. Additionally, the country also won the Indian Ocean’s Leading Beach Destination 2023 and the Indian Ocean’s Leading Dive Destination 2023. Two of these titles have been won by the Maldives since 2020. This year, however, the Indian Ocean’s Leading Beach Destination was won by the beautiful Seychelles. In addition to the Maldives, Mauritius, Madagascar, and Reunion Island competed for this title.
