A maestro in the art of hospitality, Mariun’s journey has been nothing short of extraordinary. Mariun graduated from the University of Johannesburg with a degree in Hospitality Management in 2007. He took up his first role as Food & Beverage Manager in 2010.

Mariun’s Maldivian adventure commenced in 2020. This marked the beginning of an exploration that embraced iconic destinations like Velassaru Maldives and Lux South Ari Atoll. His arrival at Le Méridien Maldives promises discovery for the curious and creative-minded traveller seeking an extraordinary culinary journey.

Known for his passionate approach and plugged-in mindset, Mariun is not just a Director; he’s a storyteller crafting memorable experiences. He has a stellar record of painting impactful relations, showcasing a commitment to fostering positive connections that transcend the ordinary.

From lagoon-side teppanyaki feasts to beachside cocktail soirées, Mariun’s visionary leadership promises to elevate Le Méridien Maldives’ gastronomic offerings to new heights. With over 17 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Atjana brings a wealth of expertise in employee engagement and leadership development. Her skills will greatly enhance the luxury resort’s human resources department.

In her new role at Dusit Thani Maldives, Atjana will enhance training and development to create an environment where every team member can grow and excel. She will design a dynamic training program focused on sustainable hospitality, cross-cultural awareness, and exceptional guest services. Furthermore, her leadership will aid the resort in meeting high service standards and adapting to the ever-evolving hospitality industry.

Atjana has held key positions at hotels such as Accor, Pullman, Mercure, and Novotel. During her time at Accor, she managed learning and development for multiple properties, where she developed comprehensive training plans aligned with the resort’s goals. Furthermore, her dedication to corporate social responsibility initiatives and sustainable practices consistently elevated guest satisfaction and operational efficiency.

She excels in team development and training, using her experience in organizational behavior and people development. Atjana holds Human Resources and People Management certifications and a Bachelor’s degree in Tourism. She is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Education Development.
