Luxury hospitality brand, LUX* Resorts & Hotels’ three properties have been honored at Condé Nast Traveller Readers’ Choice Awards 2020. The hospitality brand’s two properties in the Maldives were honored among the Top 30 Resorts in the Indian Ocean category.
Condé Nast Traveller awarded LUX* North Male Atoll Resort & Villas and LUX* South Ari Atoll Resort & Villas in the Maldives 4th and 29th place respectively. Meanwhile, LUX* Belle Mare Resort & Villas in Mauritius was awarded in the 22nd place. More than 715,000 Condé Nast Traveler readers submitted an incredible number of responses rating their travel experiences across the globe this year.
We are incredibly honoured to have three of our properties awarded this prestigious recognition, which is a testament of our commitment and dedication of providing heartfelt Lighter, Brighter* services that LUX* Resorts & Hotels’ are known for. We’ve also been using the downtime to upgrade several of our properties; as well as getting LUX* Grand Baie Resort & Residences and LUX* Chongzuo, Guangxi ready for opening in 2021. We hope to see more resorts on the list next year.

Maldives has been shining at the World Travel Awards (WTA), especially in the last few years. The World Travel Awards was established in 1993 and soon became the global awards program. The award program recognises excellence in the travel and tourism industry, and note-worthy destinations such as the Maldives take home honourable titles each year. Just like 2023, Maldives resorts won an impressive number of titles in the WTA Indian Ocean category. These amazing resorts took home some new titles as well as some repeated titles. Here are all the Maldives resorts that shone during the World Travel Awards 2024!
This year Lily Beach Resort & Spa took home the title of Maldives leading all-inclusive resort yet again. This is not the first time that Lily Beach Resort & Spa won this title. The resort has been winning this prestigious title consecutively since 2016! The resort is well known for its award-winning all-inclusive platinum plan, which has made it popular among travellers.
Diamonds Thudufushi – Maldives’ Leading Beach Resort 2024
