The Ritz-Carlton has appointed Juliana Salla as the Resort Manager for Fari Islands, the luxury brand’s debut in Maldives. With years of experience and a vast library of knowledge, Juliana will commence her new role with Ritz-Carlton Maldives on 01st July 2020.
Hailing from Brazil, Juliana acquired her bachelor’s degree in communication from Faculdade de Comunicacao Casper Libero. In addition to that, she holds multiple degrees in hotel management from Ahembi Morumbi University and guest services operations from Sao Paulo University.
After graduating college, Juliana started her career as a Guest Youth Activities Trainer Coordinator and assistant manager at Disney Cruise Lines. Before moving on to land-based hotel operations, she worked with the luxury passenger cruise ship for 04 years.
Juliana joined the W brand in 2007 which previously owned by Starwood and later acquired by Marriot. Proving herself to be an inspired leader, she has played a key role in pre-opening of various W owned properties throughout the 10 years she worked with the brand. During the period, she held various senior leadership roles at W owned properties in Qatar, Indonesia and China.
Juliana currently holds the responsibilities of Executive Assistant Manager at The Ritz-Carlton Bali where she oversees the room division and security operations. Looking at her achievements throughout her career, Juliana lead the team during the merger between Starwood and Marriott in the implementation of new systems and Champion for Brand Standards and Quality Audits for the hotel operations. And let’s not forget she has increased the guest satisfaction by 7% year-on-year.
Juliana comes with 17 years of experience in international tourism and hospitality sector in South America, North America, Europe, Middle East, Asia Pacific and China. In addition to her passion for travelling, she is fluent in English, Portuguese, Spanish as well as basic French.
With her outstanding performance and dedication throughout her time with the Marriot group, Juliana’s promotion to the Resort Manager at The Ritz-Carlton Maldives is well-deserving.
Marriott International announced the debut of Ritz Carlton brand in Maldives, Fari Islands to be open late 2020 with 100 villas.
