The Ritz-Carlton Maldives, Fari Islands is in search of passionate environmental ambassadors – Naturalists. The naturalists will join the distinguished team of Ladies & Gentlemen at Ritz-Carlton. The role of the Naturalist is to connect guests to nature. This is done by leading a host of well-designed experiences tailored around special interests of the island including; discovery, sports & wellness, culture, and sustainability.

Apart from the recreational activities, the Naturalist who is the environmental ambassador is also responsible to curate entertaining adventures for young travelers. This is a part of the new and exciting Ritz Kids club program of the resort, inspiring the next generation of environmentalists.

Maldives Takes Home Wins at World Travel Awards 2024!

Maldives is yet again taking home coveted awards at the World Travel Awards (Indian Coean Category), at the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2024. The award show which is being held at Dubai World Trade Center from 6th to 9th May recognises and rewards excellence in travel and tourism. It is no shock that the Maldives took home more than one award, as the destination has always been a tourist-hot spot.

The Maldives took home the following awards this year:

  • Indian Ocean’s Leading Destination 2024
  • Indian Ocean’s Leading Honeymoon Destination 2024
  • Indian Ocean’s Leading Green Destination 2024
  • Indian Ocean’s Leading Dive Destination 2024

The resorts that won these awards for the Maldives are also noteworthy. Conrad Maldives Rangali Island claimed the coveted title of ‘Indian Ocean’s Leading Hotel’. Vakkaru Maldives won ‘Indian Ocean’s Leading Resort’. Coco Bodu Hithi, Maldives was named ‘Indian Ocean’s Most Romantic Resort’. Cora Cora Maldives also enjoyed a strong showing, winning ‘Indian Ocean’s Leading All-Inclusive Resort’.

The Maldives also won some of these categories at the 2023 World Travel Awards. Last year the Maldives won the Indian Ocean’s Leading Destination 2023 title. Additionally, the country also won the Indian Ocean’s Leading Beach Destination 2023 and the Indian Ocean’s Leading Dive Destination 2023. Two of these titles have been won by the Maldives since 2020. This year, however, the Indian Ocean’s Leading Beach Destination was won by the beautiful Seychelles. In addition to the Maldives, Mauritius, Madagascar, and Reunion Island competed for this title.
