Trans Maldivian Airways Supports BVISM
Trans Maldivian Airways sponsors the BVISM's annual camp as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility initiative.

Trans Maldivian Airways (TMA) sponsors the annual camp of the Blind and Visually Impaired Society of Maldives (BVISM), as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility initiative.

A special ceremony was held to handover the donation at TMA Seaplane Base last Thursday, 21st October 2021. Trans Maldivian’s CEO, Mr A.U.M Fawzy, along with members of the company’s Senior Management presented the donation to the President of BVISM, Mr Ali Sameem and their Media Coordinator, Mr Abdulla Ziyaau.

“BVISM Aharee Camp 2021” will be held from 28th October to 4th November 2021 in Malé, Hulhumalé & Vilingili and marks the 5th camp hosted by BVISM. Over a span of 8 days, BVISM has included several activities: First Aid Training, Exercise & Recreational Activities, Training for Emergency Response, Water Sports Day, Leadership Training Program, Aviation Training, and a Blood Donation Day.

BVISM has been advocating for the rights of and fostering inclusivity for the blind and visually impaired community in Maldives since 2010. Over the years, the NGO has initiated many activities that has increased public awareness for their community, and has brought about major, positive resolve.

Trans Maldivian Airways continues to support the local NGOs and charitable organizations as it strives to promote holistic growth and inclusive development in the Maldives. The company has also been providing free transfers for Thalassaemia patients based in islands to travel to Male’ for their blood transfusions.
