Atmosphere Core Brings Ultimate Luxury to Nepal with Aarunya Nature Resort

Aarunya Nature Resort by Atmosphere Core at Nepal

Atmosphere Core accelerates its global expansion by introducing its first resort in Nepal, AARUNYA NATURE RESORT BY ATMOSPHERE. Nestled in the serene Banepa Valley, just outside Kathmandu, this addition clearly highlights the company’s ambition to lead the luxury travel sector by offering unique and inspiring destinations. Moreover, this milestone marks a key step in the company’s strategy to grow its international footprint and establish itself as a significant player in the hospitality industry.

Salil Panigrahi, Group Managing Director of Atmosphere Core, expressed his excitement about the new project:

Nepal is fast emerging as a key destination in South Asia’s luxury hospitality landscape, and travellers are increasingly seeking immersive, offbeat destinations. With properties coming up in Maldives, India, and Sri Lanka, Aarunya Nature Resort is a natural next step. Our distinctive Holiday Plan concept opens up destinations once reserved for the global elite. It’s about making these spaces more accessible without compromising on authenticity. Aarunya Nature Resort by Atmosphere is more than a resort, it’s a way to truly experience Nepal, its stories, its rituals, its generous spirit

A Unique Luxury Experience in the Heart of Nepal

Atmosphere Hotels & Resorts and Lost Horizon Jungle Resort Limited formed a strategic partnership to create Aarunya Nature Resort, which will open in late 2025. Together, the two companies bring the brand’s distinctive vision to life in one of South Asia’s most breathtaking settings. Banepa, a historic town that rises 5,000 feet above sea level in Nepal’s Bagmati Province, surrounds itself with misty hills and sacred trails, thus creating an ideal backdrop for a peaceful, soul-enriching type of travel. The 25-acre resort will offer guests spectacular views of the Himalayas and, on clear days, even glimpses of Mount Everest.

The resort will feature 51 elegantly designed cottages and suites. Each unit will provide stunning views of the surrounding Himalayan landscape through expansive windows. Additionally, the interiors will reflect the local culture and the natural beauty of the Kathmandu Valley, creating a warm, inviting atmosphere. Guests will also enjoy diverse culinary experiences across two distinct restaurants: one offering all-day dining with alfresco seating, and the other serving a specialty menu that blends Nepali and Asian flavors.

Wellness and Recreation for Every Traveler

Alongside luxurious accommodations, the resort will offer a wellness sanctuary by ELE|NA, the award-winning wellness brand from Atmosphere Core. The sanctuary will promote deep relaxation by combining traditional wellness therapies with modern treatments. Furthermore, the resort will present a variety of recreational options, including nature walks, cultural experiences, and family-friendly activities. Notably, a dedicated kids’ club and a swimming pool will ensure travelers of all ages find something enjoyable.

Immersing Guests in the Spirit of Nepal

Gyanendra Lal Pradhan, Chairman of Lost Horizon Jungle Resort Limited, shared his enthusiasm for the partnership:

Partnering with Atmosphere Core is a natural fit. Their approach to hospitality is both grounded in global service standards and elevated by unique experiences – exactly what we envisioned for Aarunya. Surrounded by cultural treasures and iconic trails, like the path to the Thrangu Tashi Yangtse Monastery in Namobuddha, Banepa is emerging as a mindful luxury destination. It blends history, spirituality, and natural beauty in a way that few places can. We’re proud to be shaping something special here, together”.

Aarunya Nature Resort will offer visitors an opportunity to experience the very essence of Nepal by blending natural beauty with rich cultural experiences. Consequently, the resort will define Nepal’s luxury tourism scene, providing a peaceful, immersive retreat for those who seek to connect with the land and its traditions in a meaningful way. By staying at Aarunya, travelers will not only explore breathtaking landscapes but also embrace the spirit, history, and generosity that characterize Nepal.
