Resorts in the Maldives are safe to spend your holiday thanks to the island nation’s one-island-one-resort concept. The tropical holiday destination has taken rigorous COVID-19 measures to offer travellers a safe holiday experience.

The Maldives is open to all travellers with no restrictions. To visit the country, holidaymakers would only need a PCR test taken 96 hours before their arrival in the Maldives. Travellers need to submit the PCR certificate to Maldives Immigration via its IMUGA platform when filling the Traveler Health Declaration.

Sun Siyam Resorts Launches Dive Website with First-Ever Illustrated Dive Maps

Dive website launched by sun siyam resorts

Sun Siyam Resorts announces the successful launch of its new diving website, Sun Diving. The launch occurred during a two-day event at Sun Siyam Olhuveli on 28th and 29th November, 2024. The event brought together a lively group of diving enthusiasts, marine conservation advocates, and industry professionals. They gathered to celebrate the Maldives’ extraordinary underwater heritage and emphasize the critical role of sustainable diving practices.

Koen Zuurbier, General Manager at Sun Diving, expressed the significance of the event, saying,

“This launch was more than just a celebration; it was a demonstration of our commitment to protecting the extraordinary underwater world of the Maldives while also enjoying the natural wonders the Maldives has to offer. The 30 years of continuous success of Sun Diving depend on our shared dedication to sustainability, and we are thrilled to have brought together a community of ocean lovers to support this mission.”

A New Era of Diving: Introducing Sun Diving

The new website introduces a groundbreaking feature: the first-ever illustrated dive maps created by DiverMonArt. These artistic maps offer a fresh and visually captivating perspective on dive sites at Sun Siyam Resorts. They blend creativity with functionality, enhancing the diving experience for both beginners and experts alike.

Moreover, the event provided a platform to unveil the new Sun Diving website. This innovative resource inspires and guides underwater explorers throughout various base locations in the Maldives at Sun Siyam Resorts. The website includes detailed dive site descriptions, eco-diving tips, and a gallery of breathtaking underwater photography. It reflects Sun Siyam Resorts’ commitment to showcasing the wonders of the Maldives while promoting ocean conservation.

Celebrating Sustainability and Adventure

The festivities began on the evening of 28th November, 2024, with Ocean Unveiled, a celebratory gala dinner under the stars, featuring marine-inspired storytelling. Guests enjoyed expertly crafted cocktails, exquisite cuisine, and a lively atmosphere as they gathered to commemorate the launch. Following this, the night concluded with A Night of Discovery, a marine-themed movie screening that left attendees inspired by the beauty and fragility of the underwater world.

On 29th November, 2024, the event shifted focus to conservation and adventure with the Dive for the Planet: Eco-Friendly Reef Adventure. Participants engaged in reef-cleaning dives and workshops led by expert instructors. These sessions fostered awareness of sustainable diving practices and the importance of protecting marine ecosystems. Additionally, beginners had the chance to dive, with introductory sessions offering a glimpse into the vibrant underwater landscapes of the Maldives.

As the Maldives continues to captivate the imaginations of divers worldwide, Sun Diving strives to play an active role in preserving its delicate marine ecosystems. By spotlighting sustainable diving practices, the resort aims to ensure these natural treasures are safeguarded for future generations to enjoy. Ultimately, this launch event marks the beginning of an exciting journey for divers and conservationists alike.
