If you have been meaning to explore the beautiful city of China, you can now plan an amazing trip with the new visa-free policy. With this new update, foreign tour groups can explore the city of China without a visa for up to 15 days. So, plan your tours, book your cruise trips and stop worrying about the visa!
Not only is it a 15-day visa-free access by these tour groups can also access 13 different ports. This includes popular spots like Shanghai, Qingdao, Dalian, and Haikou. This exciting free-visa program will be starting from May 15th onwards, meaning you can already plan and book your cruise trips to China.
In addition to this initiative, China also introduced visa-free entry for travellers from certain European and Asian countries in 2023. China also launched its first domestically-made cruise ship in January 2024. This, however, was an initiative more focused towards local tourism in China.
Travellers can choose from a multitude of international cruise ships to explore China on a 15-day free visa. The country hosts around 21 international cruise ships. Through these, cruisers can explore cities like Japan, South Korea, Vietnam, and China.
In addition to this, travellers can also now explore a new travel route, connecting travellers from Sanya and Hong Kong. HK Express Airways introduced this new route, connecting travellers from Sanya Phoenix International Airport (SYX) to Hong Kong International Airport. Although the visa-free program won’t apply to this, this is a budget-friendly and convenient connection for travellers. Sanya marks the airline’s second mainland China destination to be launched in 2024. Prior to this, HK Express also successfully launched flights to Beijing Daxing route, opening in March.
