Emerald Maldives Resort & Spa has brought home 3 prestigious awards from the World Luxury Awards. The resort received a big win from the World Luxury Hotel Awards and The Emerald Spa & Amazònico Restaurant received further praise as well.

World Luxury Hotel Awards honoured Emerald Maldives Resort & Spa with the Global Win in Luxury All-inclusive Retreat. Secondly, World Luxury Restaurant Awards praised Amazònico Restaurant with the Continent Win in Eclectic/International Cuisine. Meanwhile, the World Luxury Spa Awards crowned The Emerald Spa with the Continent Win in Best Unique Experience Spa as well.

The luxury Emerald Maldives Resort & Spa is a new 5-star Deluxe All-Inclusive resort in the Maldives. The island getaway is also a proud member of The Leading Hotels of the World. The resort is curated to blend in perfect harmony with the surrounding natural environment.

Emerald has a direct focus on energy efficiency and environmental preservation. Thus, the resort uses materials such as bamboo, natural stones, and Langhi Langhi. Likewise, Emerald Maldives Resort & Spa combines tropical scenery with modern design. So, this creates an atmosphere of natural and informal elegance.

This Maldives island resort offers ideal settings for holidaymakers to build new and memorable experiences. Located within the pristine Raa Atoll, in the northern part of the Maldives archipelago,1.5 km of soft white sand surrounds the Deluxe All-Inclusive Resort. Furthermore, nestled on a lush private 20 hectares island, Emerald Maldives Resort & Spa features 120 elegant villas. 60 of these villas are located on the island. Canareef Resort Maldives Goes Green: Embracing Solar Panels for a Sustainable Future

The Maldives has been moving towards embracing a more sustainable future, and here is Canareef Resort Maldives' contribution!

Canareef Resort Maldives just took a bold move towards embracing a more sustainable future for the resort. The resort has just announced its initiative to install 720 solar panels on the property, marking a significant step in reducing its carbon footprint.

The final installation process for the solar panels is scheduled to be completed within one month. With this, Canareef Resort Maldives will be taking a major step towards environmental stewardship and responsible tourism practices. Upon completion, the solar panels are projected to generate an impressive 400kw of power. This will be a major contribution towards the resort’s energy needs.

This initiative extends beyond the guest area, as the solar panels cover the resort as well. With the solar panels, Canareef Resort Maldives will have a renewable energy source for various operations throughout the resort. In addition to this being a step towards sustainable tourism in the country, this will also integrate sustainability into the guest experience. Upon completion, the solar panels will provide sustainable energy to everything from the accommodation to the recreational facilities as well.

Additionally, the solar panels are also expected to reduce 10% of the fuel consumption at Canareef Resort Maldives.
