Emirates Skywards Rolls Out Exclusive Double Tier Miles Offer for Members

The award-winning loyalty programme of Emirates and flydubai, Emirates Skywards rolled out an exclusive offer to assist members fast-track to higher tier status.

Members can automatically earn double Tier Miles on all Emirates and flydubai flights booked from 1 April until 30 June, for travel between 1st April and 30th December 2021 (terms & conditions apply).

According to Emirates, to be eligible for the promotion, customers need to simply be existing Emirates Skywards members. Otherwise, they can join as a new member before 30 June 2021. So, members can now move up tiers faster and unlock an extensive range of benefits and rewards.

Emirates revealed that the offer applies to any ticket, regardless of fare type, purchased on Emirates or flydubai during the offer period. Hence, helping members quickly earn sufficient Tier Miles to bump up one tier status higher. For instance, an Emirates Skywards Blue tier member can upgrade to an Emirates Skywards Silver tier member, and an Emirates Skywards Silver tier member can upgrade to an Emirates Skywards Gold tier member.

In a strategic move to enhance the Maldives’ economic landscape, President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu recently held a series of high-level meetings with prominent Malaysian business leaders during his official visit to Malaysia. Additionally, the President met with Vincent Tan Chee Yioun, the founder of Berjaya Corporation Berhad, where they discussed expanding Berjaya’s footprint in the Maldives, particularly in the tourism sector. Notably, the Maldives’ well-established tourism industry, along with its strategic location, stood out as a key area for future collaboration. Moreover, the talks covered developments in infrastructure, focusing on the nation’s ongoing efforts to strengthen air connectivity and create a more conducive environment for foreign investors.

These interactions, in turn, form part of the Maldives’ broader strategy to attract sustainable investments and open new avenues for economic growth. With a renewed focus on eco-tourism, renewable energy, and digital transformation, the President’s meetings signal the nation’s readiness to welcome global partners.

As President Dr. Muizzu wrapped up his engagements, both the Maldivian and Malaysian business leaders expressed optimism about future collaborations, thus highlighting the Maldives’ potential as a thriving hub for investment in the Indian Ocean region.
