Travellers can now fly from Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru or Thiruvananthapuram to the Maldives with Air India. The airline commenced operations between the Maldives and Mumbai yesterday, 28th July 2021.
The flag carrier of India will operate non-stop flights from Mumbai to Malé, and Delhi to Malé via Mumbai every Wednesday and Saturday. Today, Air India will also commence flights from Bengaluru to Malé, Maldives via Thiruvananthapuram (Kerala). These flights will be operated every Monday and Thursday.
Flights between Mumbai and Maldives start at Rs. 16,953 for economy seats and Rs. 53,334 for business class.

India is one of the major tourist source markets to the Maldives. In terms of tourist arrivals, India currently ranks as the second-biggest individual market while Russia is currently the Maldives’ leading tourist source market.
The Maldives is one of the most popular destinations for Indian travellers. In addition to that, the trendsetting destination is a popular hotspot among Bollywood celebrities.
