Born to a Japanese father and a Brazilian mother, Chef Kazuo’s passion for gastronomy was ignited by his grandfather. Chef Kazuo’s culinary journey began at the esteemed Grand Hyatt in São Paulo. This journey has led him to immersive experiences in Japan and Dubai.

And now, Chef Kazuo invites guests at Patina Maldives to embark on a culinary journey unlike any other. During his residency at KŌEN Patina Maldives, Chef Kazuo will oversee an exclusive series of omakase dinners. Here, guests can delight in the harmonious fusion of Japanese tradition and Brazilian innovation showcased in each meticulously prepared dish. Additionally, Chef Kazuo will also explore local markets to source inspiration from indigenous ingredients. The menu presented at Patina Maldives will truly be unique to his residency, making it a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
