The Nautilus, a luxury bohemian hideaway in the Maldives has started welcoming guests to its shores from 1st September 2020 onwards.

The Nautilus, a luxury bohemian hideaway in the Maldives has started welcoming guests from 1st September 2020 onwards. Embracing liberating indulgences without the shackles of social constraints and time, this haven of barefoot luxury private island invites its devoted guests back to return to true paradise.

For private Island buy-outs, or guests traveling with extended family, friends, or in a group constellation, the island is bookable as well. Located in the stunning Baa Atoll of the Maldives, in the heart of a UNESCO Biosphere, The Nautilus’ remote setting and size (one of the smallest islands in the Maldives) make this sublime tropical haven one of the safest places to be right now.

Rigorous Cleaning Protocols and Spacious Residences

The already thorough cleaning and hygiene protocols in place across the luxury resort in the Maldives have been further reinforced in line with the public health guidelines issued by the WHO, as well as by national authorities. Likewise, the entire team at The Nautilus is fully trained and informed with these new protocols.

With 26 incredibly spacious Houses and Residences on the island each with its private freshwater temperature-controlled infinity pools, extensive private decks as well as a personal House Master offering exclusive full butler services, The Nautilus is perfect for a private family retreat or an intimate escape with a conscious lack of interaction with others in order to honor safety under the current climate.

Dine Anywhere, Anytime!

The island offers a la carte dining anywhere, anytime with no additional incurrences. Time stands still at The Nautilus, therefore there are no set opening and closing times for the island’s three restaurants; come as you please with eternal personal space. All adventures you embark upon on the island are free of time restraints and wholly private to you and your loved ones making safety certain for all excursions.

The team at The Nautilus has not only used this time away from the bustling world to reflect and realign but have also completed an abundance of enhancements to the island to accentuate The Nautilus’ ethereal aura even more. Despite menus at The Nautilus’ being mere suggestions, new menus for all three restaurants have been introduced providing guests further epicurean inspiration. There is also a new expansion to the Ocaso restaurant, the island’s alfresco grill.

A Friend of the Local Community

The Nautilus has also recently undertaken a major CSR initiative to support the local community, especially the people of Baa atoll, by funding the installation of a PCR testing facility in a specially created area within the healthcare center on Dharavandhoo Island. Testing is carried out by the health center. The facility is just twenty minutes by luxury yacht from The Nautilus.

This is one of the only PCR testing facilities within the Baa atoll. In addition to providing COVID-19 testing for guests and staff of The Nautilus on a complimentary basis, the facility will also cater to the testing needs of the local community members. Any revenue generated by this initiative goes directly to the health center of Dharavandhoo.

Amazing Reopening Offer!

If you are ready to make a sublime return to normality amidst tourmaline-blue Indian Ocean waters, The Nautilus’ unique reopening offer, ‘Freedom at The Nautilus’, will secure your yearning to indulge. You can enjoy precious moments with loved ones from 1st September 2020 to 26th December 2020 and receive an exceptional one-off discount of 35% off the total price of your stay.

The only Relais & Châteaux private island resort in the Maldives, The Nautilus offers life unbound. Its collection of 26 immensely private beach and ocean houses exists beyond the bounds of time. The private island in the Maldives is a place where nothing is fixed, and anything is possible. Where you are free to set your own beat. Free to do – and to be – as you please.

The Nautilus Maldives Announces Ananda Wellness Residency

The Nautilus will host two senior practitioners from the world’s most renowned holistic wellness retreat. From 16th to 26th August 2023, Ananda in the Himalayas will be at The Nautilus. Combining Ananda’s specialist Ayurvedic knowledge with The Nautilus’s timeless hospitality offering, this residency will provide the ultimate restorative wellness experience.

Exploring the Restorative Wellness Experiences

The Nautilus tailors holidays to individual needs, providing a completely bespoke experience renowned for its customization. Additionally, the resort also provides unscripted and timeless offerings to its travellers. With this, the Ananda treatments will be available to guests at any time of day. The treatment will be provided in the overwater Solasta Spa’s glass-floored private treatment pavilions. Interested guests can also explore the treatments in the comfort of guest houses and residences.

The two practitioners, Mr Sandeep Dhamada and Ms Krishna Karki, are some of Ananda’s most accomplished and expert holistic therapists. As a follow-up to these speciality treatments, The Nautilus guests will also benefit from an online consultation with an Ayurvedic physician. This will further enhance the holistic benefits of the treatments in addition to the overall experience. Ananda’s gourmet Ayurvedic cuisine is available to consume anywhere on the island, incorporating anti-inflammatory properties, with fundamental food tastes carefully combined with macronutrients.

Ananda in the Himalayas is one of the world’s leading luxury wellness retreats, aligning with the rejuvenating spirit of The Nautilus. Nestled in the Himalayan foothills, the birthplace of Ayurveda, Yoga and meditation, Ananda integrates these ancient practices with therapy. The partnership first launched in 2022 and this year’s iteration enhances the already extensive wellness offering with a series of curated experiences for guests looking to rebalance their body, soul and mind.

Specialty Treatments Offered by Ananda at The Nautilus:

  • Ananda Touch with Reflexology (90 Mins)- A rhythmic flowing massage with rose-scented oils. The treatment releases tension and stress combined with the stimulation of reflex points. This practice aims to restore energy flow throughout the entire body and foster balance within the body and mind.
  • Indian Head Massage with Reflexology (90 Mins)– This ancient experience relaxes, tones, and eases muscle tension. It also aids in eliminating toxins by stimulating circulation. Following this, a massage is administered to the feet, applying pressure on the soles to restore healthy energy flow throughout the body.
  • Indian Head Massage with Shiatsu (90 Mins)– A traditional massage which provides deep relaxation. Following this, Shiatsu is applied. This is a full body pressure point experience that enhances circulation and boosts the immune system.
  • Himalayan Honey and Rose Facial with Foot Massage (90 mins)– This stimulating and refreshing facial uses a blend of sandalwood and rose essential oils. We massage pure organic honey harvested from the Himalayas into the skin and apply a mask of cooling cucumber. As the mask hydrates your skin, indulge in a soothing foot massage that stimulates reflex points.
  • Ananda Moksha (90 Mins)– A full body massage which uses traditional Ayurvedic therapeutic techniques. The holistic therapy draws inspiration from the concept of Moksha, signifying a liberation of the senses and a release for the free flow of Prana or energy.
