The highly anticipated JOALI Being has finally opened its doors to welcome guests. Located on the secluded island of Bodufishi in the Raa Atoll, the resort is the first island retreat in the Maldives that is completely dedicated to wellbeing.

A 40-minute seaplane journey from the Male’ International Airport, the island hosts a total of 68 exquisitely designed beach and overwater villas. Each luxurious villa comes with a private pool and a variety of highly personalized amenities. From a minibar, games to aid in your wellbeing and musical instruments for meditation. Furthermore, every villa has its own butler, or ‘Jadugar’, which translates to ‘magician’.

A plethora of wellness facilities presents guests with the opportunity to heal, reflect and grow. These facilities range from holistic and alternative, to diagnostic and scientific. Additionally, fitness regimes and diets can be curated for each individual guest by professional nutritionists as part of the signature immersion programmes.

At JOALI Being, the key philosophy is combining the old and the new to replenish the mind, skin, microbiome and energy. There are 39 elegant elevated treatment rooms dotted along the island. They are designed to harness the healing energies of the natural surroundings to create a completely relaxed environment.

Dining at JOALI Being is an unparalleled culinary journey. The expansive dining space boasts three main kitchens – Plantae, Su and B’Well. They offer a selection of earth-to-table and ocean-to-table meals prepped to perfection with the freshest of ingredients. Moreover, meals served range from vegetarian and vegan to pescatarian. The resort assures that ingredients are sourced from sustainable local farms.

However, one of the more intriguing features is the SAI tea lounge, where guests can sample an impressive range of teas, participate in tea ceremonies, and embark on a spectacular and informative journey with the resort’s tea sommelier.
