Villa Hotels & Resorts has appointed Murad Hassan as Director of Business development. Murad has started the new post since 1st April 2020.

Murad returns to Villa Hotels, where he previously worked as Deputy Director of Sales and Marketing. With over 17 years of experience in the hospitality industry globally, Murad worked with multiple brands.

With several key sales and marketing posts at different well known properties such as Bandos Maldives, Maldives Tourism Promotion Board and most recently at Agoda. During his time at Agoda as the Director of Market Management (Malaysia & Maldives ), Murad has built a strong network of business relationships with several key industry individuals to develop more partnerships.

Villa Hotels & Resorts is one of the leading resort chains in the Maldives, operating five exclusive island resorts: Paradise Island Resort, Sun Island Resort, Royal Island Resort, Holiday Island Resort and Fun Island Resort. And the Villa Air – FLYME as the airline under the brand.

With a career that spans over 15 years, Chef Chris Terry has experience across the Caribbean, the United Kingdom, and the USA. The chef has honed his craft in some of the world’s most esteemed luxury brands including Aman, Rosewood Resorts, and Sandals Resorts. His exceptional skills have also earned him numerous accolades such as the Artisan Award at the Antigua & Barbuda National Youth and Young Chef of the Year by the Antigua Hotels and Tourist Association.

Chef Christopher is a firm believer in working with the highest quality of ingredients. With this, he focuses on local produce and brings out genuine flavours through simplicity. His culinary philosophy is a seamless fit with The Nautilus. This is due to the resort’s commitment to offering not only exceptional experiences but also true taste journeys.

Under his guidance, The Nautilus’s guests can look forward to exploring Zeytoun’s focus on the aromatic herbs and spices of the Mediterranean.
